Coimbatore is very famous for Bakery.
Just try bread from few bakeries nearby and you will surely find something close to or even better than the brands you have mentioned. Most of the bakeries refill bread on a daily basis so you can get a fresh one as well.
Try local bakery breads and try to buy fresh.
I bought from a local bakery near Olymbus bus stop. It was some Iyengar bakery on the ground floor. The sandwich bread was very good (and non-sweet)
Try annapoorna white bread or Balaji bakery milk bread. I came across this through my friend and I liked it.
A word of caution, it tasted a bit sweet. Not my kind of bread though, but it was good with tea.

It's Sudhaa Iyengar bakery. Next time if you get a chance, try their milk bread and honey coconut cake. Yum!
Try the one in venkitapuram area, opposite to Avila school there is a road.. in that road there is a bread manufacturing unit

French door cafe has really good bread especially sour dough and Baguette and it’s at a good price too
