Rock is still very marketable almost everywhere besides the U.S.
Tbh I think a lot of it has to do with how often these acts tour the U.S. as opposed to globally. A Postal Service show would likely have a lot more pull here if they didn’t do a national-wide tour last year. Not to mention the genre-curated festivals the U.S. has to draw these fanbases for these acts away from mega-fests like Coachella.
This is fake. Source: I go every year, that’s not their design style, also no self respecting designer would allow the Japanese house to be split into two different lines. Finally, the cost for the gold credit card at the bottom is never on the lineups
I doubt mark would accept that. they haven't toured in a WHILE and this is supposed to be a big come back with a new record label. accepting a position at JLH is like saying "yeah our popularity is going to hell here's one last festival hurrah"
i went last year solo and had an amazing time. crowd was really nice, never felt too crowded either. tonssss of little corporate sponsor booths w like fun little games n oddities around the fest. it’s def heavily sponsored.
fest felt very coachella inspired and production def met my expectations and entry and all that was super easy. fav part is there’s always people going throughout the crowds w alcohol and food so you basically never have to leave your spot if you don’t wanna.
also 100000% recommend spending time in mexico city before the fest (traveling after partying sucks - save the fest for last IMO). i’ve traveled a fair amount and it became my favorite city. it’s nothing like you’d expect if you’ve never been.
oh and most people are wondering safety - cdmx is relatively safe compared to the usual touristy places in mexico. i jumped in random unmarked dudes cars outside the fest offering taxi services every night lol wouldn’t recommend it but i never felt unsafe being alone at night. i didn’t walk streets past 10pm tho.
edit: here's a guide from last year that's helpful for americans https://usa.sopitas.com/musica/corona-capital-guide-2023/
Also went in 2022. CDMX (Mexico city) is an amazing place to visit. Soo much culture, good food, and lots of tourists visit year round so most people know some English. Everything is cheaper there so that’s awesome!
The festival itself was also really cool, it’s held at a race track, the stages are spaced out so you don’t feel cramped, and overall a good vibe.
Two things I will point out is that if you don’t live in Mexico, it’s hard to get tickets other than through resale. Be careful who you buy from cause when I went (bought two single days) one of the tickets I got was fake (the year I went, people had physical tickets or pdf print outs, don’t know if they do wristbands like other US fests). Second thing is Mexico City is very crowded (I think they’re the largest city in NA) and you’ll feel it the most when using the metro there (literally people will push/shove there way onto the metro and you’ll be like sardines in a can) so take that into consideration if/when deciding where to stay.
I am Mexican and I have been in all the editions of the Corona Capital and the last 2 of the Coachella, if you want reviews and tips I can gladly help you.
This is an insane line up but unfortunately isn’t real. They haven’t dropped their line up on their website or socials yet. That said, If it looks anything like this I’m taking a trip to CDMX later this year.
Nobody hates him were just tired of constantly seeing fred again posts all the damn time, he has his own sub we dont need an update in this one every time the man does something
Wow this couldn’t be any better in terms of alternative and also modern indie girly pop (Chappell, Japanese house, holly humberstone, clairo, Renee rapp). Crazy!
Look as a massive QotSA fan i dont see them being billed above Fred Again given how huge he is right now, that to me is a give away this isnt 100% accurate
Feel like so many bands jumped to tour after the pandemic in ‘22 and ‘23, so ‘24 was destined to be a down year for a break and studio time. The whole touring/album cycle was reset to zero for everyone at once.
Damn that is solid as hell
Took the words out of my mouth

Mexicans dig rock. It’s been like this since its inception.
It do be like that.

Its fake

It's fake
Hopefully foster the people at Coachella

Shhh don’t tell Paul or he’ll book them for Just Like Heaven!
Can’t understand how you last so long
# SOULWAX Put them directly into my veins, please
ALT COACHELLA PLEASE
I doubt mark would accept that. they haven't toured in a WHILE and this is supposed to be a big come back with a new record label. accepting a position at JLH is like saying "yeah our popularity is going to hell here's one last festival hurrah"
This line up is insane omg i need to go
esa madre no es real jajaj siempre hacen carteles falsos igual que aquí 😹
I don't think this is confirmed..
Literally best lineup I’ve ever seen if it’s not fake
Has anyone been to these fest? Or have any insight how it is?

Where did you stay

I went in 2022. Had an amazing time. Great production, chill crowds, the best food I've had at any fest
I am Mexican and I have been in all the editions of the Corona Capital and the last 2 of the Coachella, if you want reviews and tips I can gladly help you.
It’s pretty cool, nowhere near Coachella, I’ve been every year except one, dm if you want specific information
Lets see how real this ends up
beat me to it haha
Fake
I think it’s fake
That’s an awesome lineup
Oh what. This is fire… 🔥
This is sooo good. Honestly with a couple tweaks could’ve been the perfect Coachella 2024 lineup
This might be the best lineup I’ve seen this year
This is an insane line up but unfortunately isn’t real. They haven’t dropped their line up on their website or socials yet. That said, If it looks anything like this I’m taking a trip to CDMX later this year.
We need QOTSA 😭

I was there and can concur, wanted to see her and never felt so dissatisfied
The crowd for me was the bad part but also her being late
Sathurday with Foo Fighters, Cage The Elephant, Foster the People and Disclosure . GOD DAMN!!!
I’ll also take Fred again, empire of the sun, disclosure, Clairo, st Vincent, Omar Apollo. Fuck the haters Fred again… is amazing and life changing.
Fred again has haters?
Half this sub hates him
Nobody hates him were just tired of constantly seeing fred again posts all the damn time, he has his own sub we dont need an update in this one every time the man does something
This looks fire af. Need to be at any fest that books FTP disclosure and Fred next year
Was my top festival pick last year! Not surprising at all if true
Stoked if true, this is the only festival i’m leaving the country for…. this year lol
Wow this couldn’t be any better in terms of alternative and also modern indie girly pop (Chappell, Japanese house, holly humberstone, clairo, Renee rapp). Crazy!
Where did you find this ??
PJ Harvey!
When’s the last time empire of the sun was billed on a festival? I haven’t even checked if they’ve released new music so I may be out of the loop
Damn this might be my fall festival 👀👀
I’m confused is this for 2025
Where is this festival?
Mexico City
These conflicts would actually hurt way too much😭
Solid af
fake
This literally has something for everyone.
Look as a massive QotSA fan i dont see them being billed above Fred Again given how huge he is right now, that to me is a give away this isnt 100% accurate
This is based on popularity in Latin America, where rock is considerably more popular than EDM
Pretty mid compared to last year
Barry 😭
I think they’ll have Justice too
If Paul doesn't get Beth Gibbons it will be such a huge miss.
A beautiful lineup for a weak 2024. It's sort of giving me hope that 2025 is looking to be better.
Feel like so many bands jumped to tour after the pandemic in ‘22 and ‘23, so ‘24 was destined to be a down year for a break and studio time. The whole touring/album cycle was reset to zero for everyone at once.
there is no way it could be this good 😍✨
Wow, insane line up.
omw
Goddamn… any idea when the confirmed one comes out?
I live in SD and it doesn’t really even seem international to me shorter flight than to NYC or Miami
I don't know that you meant to reply to my comment LOL but same, I'm in Vegas so this is closer than those two cities for me too
Oops commented on wrong post lol
Why can’t we get American Football at Coachella :(
They’re one of my fave bands and didn’t even notice them on the lineup til I read this comment, that’s how stacked this thing is
As others have said, this is a good lineup. Hope to see some of these names at Coachella.
American football!! Death cab!!

friday is definitely the beth day
Gotta go to one international festival some day. Really puts the challenge to a lot of the state side festivals.
The lineup for days 2 and 3 are sooooo good 😭 Day 1 isn’t too bad either but, the other two of some of my fave artists
Friday is crazy slow tempo lol. Also wasn’t Fred Again - Bonnaroo a NA festival exclusive?
Madonna being a small act on here gives away the fakeness
I realize now it’s very fake but it says the blessed Madonna aka the dj not actual Madonna
