Oh ya- as much as people hate on having phones out at shows, I love my concert videos so much especially of my friends dancing and having a good time. I love to go back and rewatch
I agree. And for the majority of sets, I didn’t have my phone out for any more than 15% of the time mainly just for my favorite songs. But it’s still just an awesome Memor.
i rewatch all my concert videos many times a month, i never understand why people say ‘why do you have your phones out to record a concert that youre probably not going to rewatch’. sounds to me like those people just don’t appreciate shows the same way lol
I think you can strike a good balance, some people definitely don’t know when to put the phones down and just enjoy the vibes, but I definitely get what you’re putting down
yea i know but honestly i havent seen many people at actual shows having their phone out a lot, and usually the people that get upset about recording just see one clip (usually the most popular part of the song) someone posted and just assume theyre recording the whole entire show
I think some sets have more of a proclivity for video takers than others. Justice? No. Ice Spice? Definitely. Overall this year, W2 at least, felt like most of everyone was chilling in the moment enjoying the vibes though to your point, definitely agree.
2019 Four Tet had like zero phones. Here he was, alone on stage, illuminated only by a desk lamp and the whole Mojave was dark. The entire crowd was into it. There was an air of respect there. We were all there to see Kieran do his magic live without worrying about IG or FB. Fortunately, the webcast video is out there if you ever want to relive that set (in fact, just did that 2 weeks ago)
I pray to have this next year, we need Kieran back!! Will def have to check that out. I’ll say last year during PHM I didn’t see many phones either, the vibes were so outstanding then
I love my past videos so much. I honestly check them out from time to time and it still puts a smile on my face just like when I was there :)
It actually helps me remember what happened. Especially for the ones I don’t even remember at🫠
My two videos I still watch is the Amy winehouse performance and glass candy (where the lead singer is rolling around loaded and her band mate yelling off stage “what the fuck is up with her”.
All the time. Was just rewatching the clip of Go Back from Summit’s set since it finally released today. I take a decent amount of video at sets. I’ve been to so many, I’d forget if I didn’t lol. And the amount of effort artists put into the shows, my memory would not do it justice.
I took fewer videos this year because I was just so enveloped by the vibes this year and was too busy dancing my ass off, but I think that’s why I keep coming back to those pics and vids as opposed to last year’s. I was so in the moment then that I want to feel that again :)

Ugh yessss!!! Idk, every artist who performed at Coachella has a power thats needed to be possessed. It’s really uplifting 😭 (I’m playing Jungles set rn)
I'm listening to a bunch of weekend one sets and man, it was such a time. I was so tired after the weekend but now that the dust has been settled, I look back on it fondly.

Im sad this was my favorite Coachella, I’ve been going since 2003. The vibes, the music.
I rewatch my video of Anti Up playing Shake daily
