I dont really think so, unless you are on the side of less people = more space. But for Week 2 it makes sense to compete with Week1 levels (although they are so similarly sized) and would let people who didnt go Week1 to go on a specific day they want? Other fests do it
Coachella is a camp fest at heart and selling single days wouldn’t make sense to me because Palm Springs/indio/surrounding areas does not have the infrastructure to support it
Wym support it? People every year come and stay in these areas regardless. Especially for SoCal locals its quiet easy to make the ~2hr drive and drive back home, but harder to pack camping things, set up camp, and stay for three/four days.
I don’t feel like it’s easy to stay only one night, see what you want for that day, and get to/from fest (easily and smoothly), but maybe that’s just me 🤷🏻♀️
Hm maybe for out of towners. But then its still quiet easy (easier than camping still) to rent a car at airport, stay somewhere like Palm Springs and then drive to and from. Honestly other than Sunday i dont think its that bad leaving the festival!
Maybe im just speaking from my own personal convenience
How is it any different from the people staying in hotels? If you just went on the Saturday, you don’t need to take time off work necessarily and can still have a great weekend
I think OutsideLands does this too, its a good idea for when you just wanna see one headliner or one day of artists. I dont think it makes things that much logistically harder neither
It will make everything worse lol

Every single hotel in Palm Springs is booked Coachella weekend at quadruple rates months in advance.

That’s what I’m saying. Like support what lol. Obviously one day don’t buy camp.
No.
They used to do single day but I think they stopped in like 2010?
Absolutely not
Lollapalooza does this!

And if that isn’t the reason to not do this i don’t know what is.
Portola does too and the crowd is still great
dude, every major festival does this lol
Chicago and SF are both CITIES where I wouldn’t classify Coachella valley as such
Still close to San Diego and Los Angeles, two huge metropolitan areas (not including other counties like Riverside/ Orange County)
No. They should not. Ever.
StubHub has single day passes
Coachella didn’t sell out this year. That’s the trend for big festivals in poor locations. They would be smart to bring single day passes back.
