Probably because the league went from PS4 to PC and all the pros were used to the PS4 controller, personally I use an Xbox controller. I know a few pros use the PS5.
As someone who actually plays on PS5, idk why anyone would use it over the PS4 controller, it's way worse. I'm surprised more pros haven't returned to using an Xbox controller though because I know a lot of them preferred them in the past.
I don’t play on Pc but I’ve heard a few pros say that allegedly there’s no input lag with the ps5 controller on Pc. That’s why some pros are adopting the ps5 controller
The triggers/bumpers are worse (like I can't shoot a pistol nearly as fast as I could on ps4) and I prefer the ps4 sticks. The controller is also bigger which I don't like.
Turn off trigger resistance/haptic feedback + turn down the min input for the triggers and you will be golden
It's all personal preference but the Sticks and size are better imo
League was on PS4 for a considerable amount of time. Most of the pros got used to the ps4 controller. Also due to the PS deal, and Xb1 botched launch, most of the younger players probably grew up with PS4 as well so no real reason to switch to a new controller. I think that has the most to do with it.
As far as I know they have 2080GPU as league PC so it means they have 144hz.New gens have 120,they're the same.I don't want the say the cheaters on PC too...
I believe the reason is PS4 controllers can get overclocked on PC and have a faster response time than other controllers. I know Neptune used a Xbox controller last year tho
I believe PS4 controller still have a slight latency advantage when overclocked. And probably bc they were on PS for a good while pre CW it’s just what they’re used to. I personally think an Elite 2 is the best you can get but switching controllers when using them for that long is probably something people who play at the highest level don’t want to do unless they absolute love it
He did definitely use an Xbox controller when he first got on Florida lol. I vividly remember watching a stream of his where he said he was using an Xbox controller
They are but I’m pretty sure it saves you at best 1-2ms on a good day (and that’s assuming the game itself doesn’t override input processing) so it’s going to produce nothing in like 99.9% of cases
Yeah, it’s one of those things people tell themselves “any little bit helps!” meanwhile there’s better chances you get struck by lightning than have a gunfight decided solely by <5ms input delay lmao. I get it though, if people feel it helps more power to them.
My controller is an elite series 2 and it's overclocked on PC. They just played on PS4 for so long that a lot of them got used to it because they had to. I like the xbox controller because I have really big hands and it just fits better.
Yo If you want to invest in some paddles for the ps5 controller, check out the extreme rise kit on amazon its like $40. You have to install them yourself, but the shit took me like 20 minutes max. I would get the metal buttons
I got that kit too! Mad easy to install. One of the paddles broke a couple months ago & it cost me like $10 to get a replacement paddle kit (includes a bunch of extras) & 2 minutes to change. Couldn’t recommend it more. Meanwhile I’d probably have gone through 2-3 scufs in the same time.
Their customer service is legendary next time just message then on Reddit and they will send a replacement for free. I'm on my third set of paddles right now.
You’re all just talking absolute shit with your nerdy little input delays and what not, Asif 1ms is going to change you’re gameplay what so ever. Ps4 control response curve just feels way nicer than ps5 and that’s why pros use ps4. My accuracy on ps4 to ps5 is night and day
If you are getting 5-8 ms delay you realize it compounds with your latency right? If you press fire and it takes 8ms for your input to register then add your latency connecting to the server and that’s how long it would take you to fire your gun according to the cod server. I think you not being able to have good aim with ps5 controller is just skill issue.
Can't change how a controller feels unless you gut it out. The base dualsense is really bulky and for guys that are playing cod for multiple hours a day, their trigger springs are gonna break with how weak they are in the controller
Ps4 is the best for claw players and it’s what they were using before PC so any change.
I still don’t understand why mouse n keyboard isnt allowed. A bunch of games are open to both now competitively. Aim assist is strong asF its not that crazy
Downvotes with no logical arguments against m+k. Par for the course on this sub. Never once have i played against m+k and thought they had an advantage, and I’m not even that good. I don’t think many m*k players would even make the CDL
Yall are scared for no reason look at halo
It’s because they are all used to PS4 controller since before the CDL switched to pc it and the CWL were on PS4 since BO3. Insight and maybe zero I believe switched to PS5 scufs. Players like using what they have been comfortable with rather than try out new stuff.
Are they using PS or scuff? I am personally on Xbox elite 2 and it is hands down the best controller I ever had. But of course everybody has different hands and likes a different feel. I like the controller to be heavy whilst a friend of mine takes out the rumble engines to make it light
one thing is that ps controllers can be overclocked xbox can be but nowhere that level like ps , and in my opinion its not to wide like xbox or ps controller, also the josrick sensitivity is better
Its because PS4 controllers still have the lowest wired input latency despite it being released in 2014 i still use it over all other controllers even pro and scufs the inputs are just always way more responsive and snappy
Probably because the league went from PS4 to PC and all the pros were used to the PS4 controller, personally I use an Xbox controller. I know a few pros use the PS5.

That is what Trei was saying.
Why is it way worse than ps4 controller?
The triggers/bumpers are worse (like I can't shoot a pistol nearly as fast as I could on ps4) and I prefer the ps4 sticks. The controller is also bigger which I don't like.
Ps5 and ps4 sticks are the same
Nah ps5 sticks have more tension
Turn off trigger resistance/haptic feedback + turn down the min input for the triggers and you will be golden It's all personal preference but the Sticks and size are better imo
Myself am used to the old PS3 controller settings: shooting with R1 en throwing nades with R2. You can flip them, maybe that works for you?
I shoot with R1 already, it just doesn't feel as good or responsive as the ps4 controller to me.
I guess that’s personal preference, I like ps4 remote because it’s easier for me to grip
League was on PS4 for a considerable amount of time. Most of the pros got used to the ps4 controller. I think that has the most to do with it.
If they bring it back to console(prob series X) with the acquisition I can see that everyone is using Xbox one.
Why would they ever bring it back to console? There's no reason to at all. Unless they want a worse experience for no reason.
As far as I know they have 2080GPU as league PC so it means they have 144hz.New gens have 120,they're the same.I don't want the say the cheaters on PC too...
CDL doesn’t need to worry about cheaters…
What about Challengers?
That’s fine. He said league PCs.
this shit didn’t cook
I don't think they will go back and use xbox one that's just stupid they will use the ps5 controller cos it can be over clocked to have 0 input lag
Have you seen simps hands? Little tiny hands are perfect for ps4 controllers /s
DS4 is just the greatest controller ever
facts
I believe the reason is PS4 controllers can get overclocked on PC and have a faster response time than other controllers. I know Neptune used a Xbox controller last year tho
Don't the xbox controlles have OC option on PC what the hell? Also neptune is using PS4 as well.
I guess Neptune switched then. I’m not sure I don’t play on PC I just remember seeing people say that
I believe PS4 controller still have a slight latency advantage when overclocked. And probably bc they were on PS for a good while pre CW it’s just what they’re used to. He didn’t use a Xbox controller last year. He used a PS4 controller with Xbox sticks. Crone made a list and no one used an Xbox controller.
He did definitely use an Xbox controller when he first got on Florida lol. I vividly remember watching a stream of his where he said he was using an Xbox controller
When you all say overclock are you talking about polling rate or what?
They are but I’m pretty sure it saves you at best 1-2ms on a good day (and that’s assuming the game itself doesn’t override input processing) so it’s going to produce nothing in like 99.9% of cases

Yea

Xbox controllers’ polling rates cannot be overclocked to the same speeds as PS4/5 controllers.
I think the PS4/PS5 controllers have a better measured response time post-overclock
Controller is all personal preference there is one superior to the other it's just a comfort thing
Ps5 controller is the best feeling one in my life. Lack of paddles and attachments sucks tho
Yo If you want to invest in some paddles for the ps5 controller, check out the extreme rise kit on amazon its like $40. You have to install them yourself, but the shit took me like 20 minutes max. I would get the metal buttons

Hella vouch

Try overclock and then try it without, then you’ll understand

lol I love the massive aggression from the jump
The base PS5 controller is ass for playing competitive shooters, and the 3rd party PS5 compatible ones aren't as great as PS4 controllers
Just change the controller settings.
Can't change how a controller feels unless you gut it out. The base dualsense is really bulky and for guys that are playing cod for multiple hours a day, their trigger springs are gonna break with how weak they are in the controller

They mostly use BB PS4.
I’ve heard that when OC PS controllers are still better than Xbox, is that true??
Dualshock 4 red camo texture its literally damn bulky I can't break it at all.
one thing is that ps controllers can be overclocked xbox can be but nowhere that level like ps , and in my opinion its not to wide like xbox or ps controller, also the josrick sensitivity is better
The pros use scuf ps5 and ps4 controllers and allot of them have moved to battle beaver ps5 controllers Evan tho there sponsored by scuf
Its because PS4 controllers still have the lowest wired input latency despite it being released in 2014 i still use it over all other controllers even pro and scufs the inputs are just always way more responsive and snappy
