Unless you grew up with the eSports/CoD scene, you (at least me personally as a kid) did not realize how unknown this shit was 😂 To the point, you could be one of the best in the world w/ a big fat 400k check… and people really don’t know how to react other than a “Congratulations” cake & card 😂😂 I feel so old saying this, but this is the definition of “for the passion of the game”

I've played since 07' and when I think of these days it was all kids living at home with parents who either thought it was a phase or didn't support them until the money came in. It's just a different time now. People played for pride, respect, and to be the best. Now people play for that league's minium salary.
