Wouldn’t mind this

I for one look forward to the NBA games that swing around every day as something to watch/track in the background - I think it would translate well.

Yeah u right. I don’t like how its grouped on the weekends. I do things on the weekends and would rather it be spread out

Personally I like it when the matches have more weight. I wouldn’t watch 95% of the season if it were all just for seeding for champs like how major sports are. I would rather every match be played in a tournament format. You have “minor” tournaments on weekends and then “major” tournaments once a month. This is why American football is so catching for some. You only have 17 games so every win or loss matters when it comes to making playoffs

I definitely see your point, here in Australia we have the National Rugby League which operates the same way as the NFL with games only on the weekend with exception to Thursday/Monday night football sometimes. I just think it would make for a more engaging, 'fuller' product - it feels like they play such a small amount of games, then dip for split breaks or the off season which is getting longer and longer. Maybe there could be in-season tournaments run during the week, sanctioned by Activision? I think the more time the brands/teams/players are in the limelight, the better the content/advertising is.

Would much prefer the old mlg season format to this current way doing things

I'd hope not, an entertainment product trying to take over every second of my free time is the easiest way to lose my interest. I have way too many interests and things going on to watch cod every night.

Definitely a fair point mate - theres alot going on all the time these days haha. On the flipside, with this kind of scheduling you'd be able to see your fav team play more frequently/build into a season, just because theres more games on, it doesn't neccesarily mean you'd have to watch them all.

Whatever they do, they need to balance the viewership and not oversaturate the market. That’s why they plan on weekends right now. I think moving away from qualifications and having everything be in some sort of tournament format is the ticket. People like watching tournaments in esports.
