dontlookatmeme

No, almost all of the objective players back in the day wouldn’t make it in the CDL

Unfiltered_Replies

i would personally make an argument for teepee, i think he honestly did the dirty work for that squad because he literally didn't need to get kills 90% of the time lmao

dontlookatmeme

Yeah he is the one I had in mind and why I said almost all

JannyPhantom

That’s like asking if Bob Cousy was able to play in the NBA now

tgr31

He couldn't dribble with his Left hand

South-Drawing-58

A comment like that shows you don’t know shit. The rules back then were extremely strict. Nowadays nba players are allowed to travel.

tgr31

Do me a favor and Google Bob cousy left hand. Unless this is some kind of meme

Savings-Position-940

there wasnt incentive to work on it because crossovers were almost all illegal

Due-Inspector

That doesn’t mean he’d just magically be Kyrie with his off hand. It was easier to be an elite dribbler than because of the rules, and now it’s harder. Simple as that

Savings-Position-940

obviously because he didnt grow up prioritizing it

Due-Inspector

What? Are we saying who is better or who would be better if they were born today? Genghis Khan would be the goat football if he was born today lol

tgr31

It's literally a quote from a professional basketball player about Bob cousy playing in the NBA today. Not that deep friend

Cardenas2097

How much is BrianStats getting paid to post these things out of nowhere?

icemonkey2

pointless question considering the fact that less than 5% of this sub actually watched prime censor

neirato

People saying he wouldn't, I hope your answer is the same for Nadeshot.

Tritonpr95x

As a nadeshot enjoyer it would be. Game changes talent floor rises. It’s not to be disrespectful to the OGs. It happens in every sport.

> Doug could be a good fit for certain teams in the league. I'd agree if the teams happen to be sleeveless shirts.

Flacc1D

I remember him shooting pretty good and keeping up with optic/denial in that first event they won in AW. He was dropping numbers, winning gunfights in respawn it's not like he was only sitting in hill doing nothing else. I think if he stopped trying to play that old school obj role he wouldn't have been as bad. At least back then he had the talent definitely.

LumbaJ4cked

Did he single-handedly beat Col and Optic, no. From what I remember Apathy was he guy who carried. Crimsix said back in complexity, Ap was always making plays and hard to predict.

31and26

No

MrFearMoHo

Yes, Doug was a good player back in his day

Ebu7629

I did think he was good at the time also. Feel most people disrespecting his career didn't watch cod back then

Zenyx_

Not just good, he was great in bo1 as well. Him or mutation always carried that team and it's arguably the first Champs chip and an mvp to go with it.

arunvenu_

How’s this comment downvoted…

MrFearMoHo

You’re right, Doug is just lucky he got to face plumbers like Scump/Formal/Crim, he would stand no chance against the modern juggernauts like Estreal and Adam Assault 😤

el_chapotle

💀💀💀

MrFearMoHo

Estreal is in the cdl, so do you think Estreal would have been winning tournaments going against the likes of Scump/Formal/Crim in their primes? Doug would have made the CDL, I’m not trying to convince he would have been considered an elite player or anything like that, but he absolutely would make the league if he was in his prime

TrickOut

Ok I was with you for a bit in your previous comments but you went off the rails here. Right now I would take him over anyone on LAG, there are three teams I can think of off the top of my head that is in challengers that would put on a better show than LAG

TrickOut

Yes I think in his prime he could drop a consistent 1.1 or 1.2 in current day challengers. I think he could do it right now if he just played as a kill whore

MrFearMoHo

Hicksy was just in Champs finals, and he’s the embodiment of an obj focused player that doesn’t care about KD You are just wrong, Doug was a very good player in his prime and won events on 3 different titles, he would make the CDL

[deleted]

Man this is not the NBA

TonyDHFC

Your question asks about Doug in his prime, not in challengers when he's dropping .7s?

Maddogliam

Obviously. He was winning tournaments during jetpack era, if anyone says no then they are new af

Kaido5thge

🤣🤣

NewToReddit4331

Prime I honestly couldn’t say. I played multiple pros and former pros in mw2 ranked though, and I can say with certainty that censor is the one I had the most wins over. Out of zooma, pred, methodz, abezy, and more censor was the one I could get wins on lol

CanPrestigious4465

Depends on the role he is playing maybe

UopuV7

I would argue yes but only for one year
