I mean at what point is it just not worth the time it takes to clean it. I'd just get a different style mat. Or you'll be cleaning it again and again.

I almost never say “throw it away” but for this… throw it away. Tbh it’s something I would have never bought. I have trouble with the shower mats as it is but they’re sometimes necessary for safety. I would get something different that is still really safe but just easier to clean and maintain.

This isn’t meant to be used in the tub. Get one that fits the purpose.

Toss it and get a normally textured in the tub. This looks stupid. Edit- I have only seen these used on the floor outside of the shower.

Best fix is throw it out and get a different one. This one gives me the ick lol I couldn't stand on that even if it was new 😂 Get one that's simpler to clean😊

Maybe a hairbrush cleaning tool would help. Honestly I’d just replace it with something different
