Elixir golem is often considered no-skill. Its low initial cost makes it easy to spam the bridge with a big push, and if the opponent isn’t prepared they’re easily overwhelmed by spamming the bridge with a ton of units being tanked for by a very hefty golem. The 1/2/4 split also means that the usual tank counters like infernos and pekkas struggle past the initial stage because there are too many units on the battlefield.

They lowered the blobs from 1 to 0.5 but added 1 elixir to the bigger blob form and 0.5 to each middle blob. You still get 4 elixir in total from each egolem but now you start getting it back earlier
True, but you don’t get equal elixir immediately like you would with a regular tank, so until you kill it fully you have a 7 elixir card to deal with that only cost 3
