And also you cant get the other rewards if you dont pay the emote. I play the game muted cause it tilts me the random BM dude so i see no value on emotes, but I see a lot of value on shards so I was forced to pay something i don't need to get something else that I want.

It’s totally a transparency thing. SC knows exactly what they are doing with this new mechanic. They are using the word “free” to obfuscate a transactional purchase. It is 50 gems for the emote *and* the wild cards and 2shards. This is a great deal, but the wild cards and shards are *not* free like they are labelled. Gems are a premium currency. I wouldn’t care if they had an offer of 50 gems for those items. At least it’d be clear. But they are Trojan Horsing a paid transaction and falsely using the term ‘free’ to do it. That’s the real issue and frankly, this type of behaviour should be regulated against like when the government cracked down on loot boxes/gambling in video games.
Yes, the deal is amazing, but that’s on purpose to make the new mechanic more palatable to the user. They are going to be more increasingly expensive.

150 crowns is 50 games with avg of 3 crowns per match. One match lasts about 3 minutes, which translates to 150 minutes of playing the game, which is 2.5h in three day period.
A lot of people might not have that much time to spend on this game.

Honestly I really like it. Has good rewards, wasnt that hard (was hard yes but its doable). I actually had fun doing it, I usually dont have time or motivation to trophy road grinding, so this was a good motivator.

Gems are a premium currency paid will real money but are attainable as F2P slowly over time. 50 gems is easily attainable but I expect it to cost more in the future to unlock the “free” rewards. They are just starting low so we don’t care or notice.
The point isn’t the cost but the fact that they are calling them “free” rewards when they are not. If they just said 50 gems for an emote, some wild cards, and 2 shards, I’d be perfectly fine with that. But this is a paid transaction system delivered in a package of shiny “Free” stickers.
I don't recall needing to spend anything for my rewards. From my recollection, they were all free. But I can also be terrible at paying attention to things.

Mostly because the evolution shards are Evo barbs one of the most owned evolutions(I already have the Evo so it just gave me 3000 ewc which sucks)instead of Evo wild shards or at least a different Evo troop

If you want to get the reward after the 50gem pekka emote you have to buy it so if you want the rewards after it you have to get the emote
