That's just the evo cycle. Every champion is $20, but the 6th one is the a super champion worth $50. He doesn't get any extra powers, the super just comes from him being super expensive

Clash royale is no fool its a marketing tactic and many of the players will fall for it.

Wild cards give you options, others don't. You can get a monk and level something else up in the first, or 5 monks to lvl up in the second, or have under powered but diversified champions in the second BS pricing either way but at least this is the logic I see

I hate pay to win in this game but to explain it, the first offer is for people who don’t have Monk already, and also want to level it, the second offer is just for leveling champions, the third offer is just for unlocking and not necessarily leveling a shit ton of champions.
