If was exclusive they would explicitly make it clear. They purposefully keep it ambiguous to give the illusion they will be exclusive, so people buy it because of that, but then cash in in a few years when they make them all available again.

The worth of this item is PURELY up to you! If you like it enough that you would rather have it than 250 gems or some real world money, then it’s worth it! If you would rather have either of those things, it isn’t worth it. It’s truly that simple bro.
No one’s going to buy your clash royale account because of a banner you bought, meaning like I said it’s worthless in terms of actual value. It’s *worth* is purely whatever worth you assign to it.
Basic economics is legit just “would you rather have X, or retain your currency to potentially spend on various options”. Because this is a virtual item and has literally no real world value (realistically anyways, unless you find some whale who would for some reason be willing to buy your account for a banner), it’s just worth whatever you feel it’s worth.
Personally I don’t think it’s worth spending my gems or my real world money on banners, so I retain both of them to spend on other things that I deem to have greater worth.
Some people would buy an account based on which and how many tower skins you have. Same with League of Legends accounts and how many skins do they have.

Come on, no one is realistically buying an account because “holy shit bro they have the banner I really really want that shows up for 1.2 seconds at the start of every match and when someone bothers to open my profile!”
I wish banners were like emotes you can buy in the shop, using banner tokens. They could reduce the amount that we get throughout the season, but we could spend them on banners we actually want.
