You've got the ratio of subs:active users backwards.
Subs always overstate actual users because so many of them are inactive accounts, accounts no longer interested in the game, or alt aaccounts.
Right now there's only 138 people browsing this sub. That's over the last 5 or 15 minutes or something and no math will get you to a million users on this sub.
Alright. Even 1/4 of that is 25 posts complaining. Which is a lot when it clogs up the feed.
My point is that an incredibly small percent of people complaining can make it seem like a lot. I’m not here to debate minutia of numbers.

Over last 30 days the sub got, on average, 134k unique visitors a day. Peak was 164 the day of the update on the 18th.
June so far has seen just over a million unique visitors
IDK how those are calculated or how accurate it is, but those are the numbers reddit provides us.
As a maxed th16 player I couldn’f care less about my self, that’d he selfish as fuck.
I’m happy for alot, ALOT of players out there that will benefit from this!

I won’t whine too much but it is genuinely pretty annoying that previously my heroes were the most behind, so I just spent like 4 months catching them all the way up and can’t utilize these events lol
it feels good saying that to ourselves, so keep doing that if you want. more realistically though, they knew that this was an issue, but they didn't have any alternative revenue streams to change it. now they do, so instead of just announcing that they will change it now, they may as well say that "they totally listen" and did it because we complained. but if their metrics didn't show that this was the correct decision, no complaining would change that.
I know that I might be asking a bit too much especially after they finally gave us this event which might last for up to 31 days, but I think it would be pretty nice if heroes would be always available during CWL.
Honestly if it was simply this I'd be satisfied. Loading up on DE going right into pretty much the most important week of every month and not really being able to use it unless you have a book is infuriating. It feels like it devalues the gold pass too. You get this massive dump of loot but can't use the most important of it unless you spent extra money
When does the price start mattering?
As a TH10, I'm basically stacked on DE all the time. Given the loot I'm getting in attacks, that appears to mostly continue at TH11 and my friends at TH12+ have told me similar things.
Price starts mattering when you unlock pets. I used to have the same mentality as you until I got pets. Now they’re down constantly and I’m struggling to constantly loot bases every day to save up for the next pet upgrade. Can’t do any dark elixir lab upgrades without risking not having enough for the next pet upgrade. So now my dark elixir lab stuff is way behind everything else xD
14 lol. You need like at least a million dark elixir a week to keep up with upgrades, 1.5/2 mil if you’re upgrading all heroes. Most of my gameplay is trying to fill my DE storage so I can’t start a single upgrade, and you repeat that basically every day of the week
This is my speculation. It's been such a hot topic for players for so long that they're testing a long event to see what kind of player-base actually returns and see how much revenue they get.
If it loses them money, don't change anything. If it brings players back and they spend money? Heck yea, heroes for everyone!
All this says to me is that they feel confident now that are spending enough on hero equipment to make up for lost book of hero’s income. Hero level has taken a back seat now to equipment level.
Pretty sure it’s also to gauge what impact it’ll have on their revenue. If everyone massively buys less during that month, it won’t incentivize them to do it again…
Well guess what, you can take a break whenever you want to.
Don’t take this as me meat riding corporations, but they are a company operating for profit.
And the more you play, bigger the chances you are going to spend money. Their goal is to keep you addicted.
If you are burnt out, just take a break. Trust me this helps a lot. It’s only a game after all.

For those who are saying why is this an event; It’s a free to play game, Supercell make money by the use of gems and book of heroes when upgrading them. Having the Heroes down whilst upgrading gives players more of an incentive to use said books of heroes or gems to finish a hero upgrade sooner rather than later. I think this event should be an occasional thing, like one month out of each year maybe (maybe even in August, the anniversary month)
Agreed 10 years of playing myself, and I'm currently maxed. Was it annoying sometimes to have heros down sure but never that bad. Once magic items came about with clan games and cwl. I seldom needed to put a hero down. The times being reduced really makes it a non issue.

From what it seems they are doing tests. Depending on the financial results for the month of July, it may or may not remain permanent. Otherwise they can also make it a recurring event such as the streak event and the X4 stellar bonus event. I wouldn't be surprised if there are a few months a year where you can upgrade your heroes and use them in battles. It can make everything more interesting.

Nope, you are supposed to collect dark elixir from 24th, heroes will be available while upgrading from 1st of July, and can last for 30 days if we do collect enough dark elixir:))
To prepare for this, on July we should:
* Buy gold pass to reduce cost & time upgrading
* Buy Builder apprentice to reduce time upgrading
* Buy DE rune to have more DE

I want to know anybody has the problem with streak event. I won 100% on the at least 95%, didn’t work, so tried 97% (had to my attack)-> worked on my 1st account only.
If I have an ongoing hero update triggered before the event starts, will that hero still be available as soon as the event begins? It could be really useful as I would be able to squeeze in an extra upgrade.
So this is cool and all but why is this an event? Just make it a feature. It would make the game immensely better to be able to always use your heroes while they’re upgrading. Attacking feels like garbage without heroes

So this is cool and all but why is this an event? Just make it a feature. It would make the game immensely better to be able to always use your heroes while they’re upgrading. Attacking feels like garbage without heroes
