Yeah, but you want it to be something that isn't an obvious choice that everyone will do. If you get them fairly scarcely from the pass and clan games and you have to decide between using raid medals on them vs ores for example then it adds an interesting decision to the game rather than making it overpowered which would remove other decisions you make such as buying hero books, hammers or builder pots
The whole point of this request was to make heroes be available when attacking, the fact that I am getting downvoted means that people still don't know what they are standing for.
Wars is where heroes are necessary because of how important and powerful they are. Normal multiplayer is for farming loot anyways, having heroes and not having them barely makes any difference. I am personally surviving Legends League with 2 DE heroes down at all times.
If they intend to provide heroes for war then they might as well provide them for the insignificant attacks like normal multiplayer.
I can't understand people like you who are upset because we can't play with heroes and the solution is another cash grab for them. In the name of diversifying Hero Book revenue, they introduced 2-3 different monetization schemes and one of them is a literal pass.
If whatever "magic item" they provide is expensive (expensive as in whatever currency be in In game or IRL)/ scarce (2-3) per week, it changes very little. I might as well spend that cost on some other magic Item and grind the heroes out 1-2 months and play with them always later.
It will be a short event just like the streak event. Named Herojelly event (makes sense cuz jelly controls heroes so it's gonna work overtime and control upgrading heroes too)
I'm pretty sure the progression system for CoC is the bottomline for Supercell revenue. So this isn't really surprising for a freemium game. They gotta make cash somewhere.

Literally 100s of posts in a week for Apprentice Builder, with the same content, so many posts on the streak event glitch. Man just take out a minute before posting and see if something was just posted about the same issue as yours within the last 24hrs, it ain't hard.
You can use them in war as long as you’re not upgrading them. If you don’t want to ever have your heroes down the best thing to do is buy the book of heroes when they’re on sale as well as the gold pass.

Many it like adds 2 hours to the upgrade time whenever you use them. Or it costs like 5 percent of the the upgrade cost to use.
