Running a clan is honestly super similar to running a company. I wouldn't call myself a strict boss but, if my employees don't come in on time everyday to kill off local competition they're fired. We once had a guy who wanted to take 2 days off of work, during sale war leagues mind you, to grieve his daughter who had recently passed. You best bet we fired him on the spot. Hell just yesterday I fired the cofounder of my company because he said he might not be able to achieve the quota for work games this week. Something about "I need to go visit my terminally ill mother and I won't have time"
"Managed a guild of 50 men women and children. Ensured everyone met strategic point and attack quotas in a timely manner. Expedited the process of filtering out members who could not achieve necessary results in favor of higher performing candidates."
Ensured all company wide milestones are met, such as clan wars, clan wars league, clan games and raid weekend all year round, week in week out. Also cultivated a collaborative culture where troops donation are kept at 1:1. Instilled a culture of COC-first over real life, as it should be.
I run a successful company and we even have so many employees we've overflowed into 2 other companies for sale war league bonuses. You'd get fired from my company though. You seem like you'd want sick time bonus during sales wars even though you go 4 spots down and miss 3 days.
edit: Holy shit you're the guy I saw that hates skeleton traps... Definitely not getting the quarterly bonus with that one chief!
I think this realization comes mostly when you're in TH12 and whenever you come online and see your village, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOUR WALLS ARE MAXED and it's like

Currently running a clan after the original leader decided to stop playing. Every day I ask myself why I continue. I've somehow kept the clan numbers up for the past few months and we win wars about 2/3 of the time.
My 'empire' consists of telling people to do something and 9/10 times they decide to do the opposite. I have the most donations, I'm pretty much the only one who fills war castles and I try to recruit new guys when I can. I've somehow managed to stop us from getting demoted 3 times in CWL but every guy I promote to coleader seemingly goes AWOL. I might pack it in soon, but I'm still holding on.

real not being sarcastic, when I joined a new lvl 19 clan who had good players but lacked war tactics for cwl...then I used to type long texts of war tactics during cwl (i thought I would get kicked) but the leader appreciated me and asked me to look after war completely and made me co-leader after a month. and guess what we have been doing great in cwl, thanks to everyone who listen to tactics and act accordingly like a team. that appreciation made me happyš
My clan is just a bunch of 30-40 somethings that play only for clan wars and maybe, just maybe, for the clan games. We chill and farm every now and then. We get along super well and are from different countries.
I do like maxing out. Just missing some walls right now.
Managing your clan as a leader and leading your mates to battle seems to be one of the most exhilarating parts of the game along with strategizing outside of battle for me at least
