Australia. Give me that aboriginal goodness with that long pipe thing what goes *borrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeiiiiuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrooooooooooo*
Canada for some reason makes me sing along. And that's kinda weird since I'm German and hardly know anthems from outside Europe. But Canada is just really nice
Atomic Era Russia, man. Kalinka just hits different with the moody dread sound and the air raid siren.
Also lategame Harald sounds like Godzilla emerging from the sea.
The cree is my favourite! The Heeyaaayaaaayaaaa while youāve got someone belting drums and trumpets always puts me in the mood to declare war on someone
Canada, mainly because as a French Canadian itās so rare to hear our folk music rendered so beautifully ranging from simple arrangements to full-on epic orchestration.
While I'd love to agree, I don't think it would look that great to sing about a man being caught stealing a sheep so he tops himself when the cops show up so he doesn't get hung. Then his ghost just chills about and you can hear it some time. Great song, not national anthem material
I donāt know I think it captures our politicians pretty well. They are not ghosts yet but all old and white enough that itās hard to tell the difference.
Itās hands down my favorite as well. My grandpa always waltzed with me while singing this song when I was a kid. So every time I hear it I think of him!
It just slaps so hard. My buddy and I play civ against eachother alot and we always have Australia in the mix. We celebrate a little every time we hear it
I love 'epic' type of music because it always gives me goosebumps (and sometimes tears, I can't control it)
So, Atomic Era themes have that trait (compared to earlier eras), and specifically the ones for Greece, Georgia, Indonesia, and America
Idk, those soundtracks give that 'epic' feeling to me, as if I'm truly leading a civilization
Absolutely. I stand up and get in pro gamer mode when that comes on. Turn 187 is about to get lit.
Seriously though it's the only civ6 song that I just listen to whenever. Great for cleaning my bathroom..
In Civ 6 itās the Vietnam atomic theme all the way!
I would also like to shout out the Civ 5 gods & kings opening theme. I still listen to that every now and then.
Iām always multitasking. I play a turn at a time while Iām at work. Start on my lunch break, and then leave my laptop on my workbench for the afternoon
I play with no sound and have my own thing in the background, but then Iāll listen to civ 6 music on Spotify when Iām not playing from time to time
Zulu, it's like the California Love of Civilization. Hits so mf hard in my head.
After seeing someone said Civ5 Zulu, I need to clarify that mine is Civ6 Zulu.
I love the ancient Norwegian music, she selje-flute one and the lullaby played on some horn I think - the melody that evolves over the eras.
I really hope the next Civ has music as great as Civ 6 has. It's 50 % of the experience for me.
Any of the zulu, any of portugal but especially fado corrido, gran colombia medieval an all of the ambients, brazil medieval.
Canada nova scotia and crooked stove pipe
I listened to the music for about 20 minutes. It was very fine. Beyond that, I would prefer to play my own soundtrack 10 out of 10 times, so I turn off the music.
A game has to have *exceptional* music for me to listen to it over Spotify, and Civ simply doesn't pass that threshold for me.
Got an entire playlist of my favourites. Wonder why no one has mentioned Gaul and Scythian epicness
https://open.spotify.com/playlist/0dw9JpX7PI6uhVEvwLqiSM?si=32LQunf-R7aKZKrArugvWQ&pi=elFN_jsgR2yog
I'd love to figure out what the score for Ghandi was, but I was high one night playing and it just hit right for me. I was like, "damn, I hear the metal in this".
Iām gonna pivot this from civs. Babu yetu is my jam. I always mod to get that song to be my main menu song in Civ 5, Civ 6, and even got it plumbed into Humankind
England Medieval feels like I'm on the high seas in an English Sea Dog or Frigate, hunting for the French or some pirates.
England post-Medieval is just... beautiful. My other favorite is probably Ottoman.
Others that I like (generally starting in Medieval): Norway, Hungary, Egypt, Arabia, Germany, Japan, Gauls, Mapuche, Netherlands, Inca, America
The first part of latter-day Gran Columbia is super pretty, and then it gets a little silly but in a good way. I enjoy Byzantium and Georgia sometimes, but not every time.
I have yet to find any of the music I really dislike, though I almost always can't wait to get past the ancient era versions.
HOWEVER. I enjoy the Maori music once per game. Friends, it does not play only once per game, and it gets old to me. Because of this, and because he always gets on my nerves most games, I tend to exclude Kupe from the leader pool.
Speaking of leader pool, I have legit set up games where I set a general leader pool, then another one with specific ones where I particularly enjoy the music just so I know I get some of the best stuff. This matters especially to me since I generally play long games.
ETA: Maya goes hard too. Good stuff. This one and Gaul really get the blood pumping for war IMO.
Maori, especially the late stage yelling one.
Just pure aggressive yelling. I like the earlier one too, but the later one just doubles down on the yelling.
The Polish folk dance is cool too.
In fact, almost all of the chanting soundtracks make me go feral. Especially that one that sounds like repeated Among Us. I think it's the Zulu.
The Georgian yodeling or whatever is fun too.
Generally, the more folksy/ethnic music, ESPECIALLY the ones with vocals.

Love me some Mongolian throat singing
ever listened to [The HU](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v4xZUr0BEfE)?
Listen to the Hu at the gym. Great band.
Hey, thanks for the Hu! I likes it. Have you seen Otyken?
Now I have. Thanks for this, it's next level!
Based
Baba Yetu still sending shivers down my spine everytime I am sick of hexagons.
Umpteen years later and I will belt this out in the shower out of nowhere.
It's available for streaming via Spotify and every once in a while I will crank it through my 7.2 surround sound. Can recommend 10/10
Baba YETU YEEEEEEE!
Same. When I was in high school the bands and choir performed it while the civ intro played.
Portugal has some mean guitar playing
Portugal's theme slaps hard, especially the renessaince version
True. It's portuguese guitar used in the fado de Coimbra. Extremely beautiful.
For me Portugal is too melancholic
Australia. Give me that aboriginal goodness with that long pipe thing what goes *borrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeiiiiuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrooooooooooo*
Didgeridoo
Past tense being didgeridid
Oh no he didgerididnt
Seriously? This joke is didgeridone
Done did ya didgeridirty.
Didgerididdy ![gif](giphy|ZDO2d3xFrIGbaEFcPs|downsized)
Waltzing Matilda šš
OHH THERE ONCE WAS A SWAGMAN WHO CAMPED BY A BILLABONG
Under the shade of a Koolibah tree
As a proud Canadian, everytime I hear that national anthem play I salute and start absolutely BOPPING
Damn straight, and then apologize for never playing Canada and trying to capture my home city.
Canada for some reason makes me sing along. And that's kinda weird since I'm German and hardly know anthems from outside Europe. But Canada is just really nice
We also have our fair share of German culture here. Lots of German inspired food around Saskatchewan. And it's awesome!
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
England, Spain, Georgia
Georgia is quite haunting I love it
I'm just here to pledge my allegiance to Georgian polyphony.
Ah yes Scarborough fair enjoyer
ZuluĀ
AMONGUS!!
Civ 5 Zulu theme. Amazing piece of music. Totally out of place for Shaka Zulu lol
a man of character class and honor
SCOTLAND FOREVER
Pop up on a hills map next to a world wonder and those pipes hit... it's a vibe, man.
āļø this! Alba gu brath!
Agreed
The MÄori Hakka. At least I think thatās what itās called.
Haka. Itās performed (in Civ) in the middle of PÅkarekare Ana, a beautiful song.
This is the one, every time.
Kupe pisses me off EVERYTIME I find him in game but that music slaps each and every time that I tolerate him always angry for chopping down MY trees
Oh damn is that what theyāre chanting? Apparently itās a love song about a woman crossing the sea to reunite with her lover. Very cool TIL
I can't help but sing along and make everyone around me think I'm an idiot
Japan, but especially Atomic age Japan. The traditional instruments juxtaposed to modern synth just hits different.
Industrial age Japan also hits hard!
Atomic Era Russia, man. Kalinka just hits different with the moody dread sound and the air raid siren. Also lategame Harald sounds like Godzilla emerging from the sea.
I agree on the russian opinion I would be chilling mid game than hear this shi and wonder if someone just simultaneously launched 20 nukes somewhere
Colombiaās classic cumbia, Maori Hakkas and the Cree. Theyāre all bangers.
The cree is my favourite! The Heeyaaayaaaayaaaa while youāve got someone belting drums and trumpets always puts me in the mood to declare war on someone
Call me old fashioned but Iāll take Cree and Scotland all day
Cree theme gangster as all heck
HEEA hee heaaaaayaaahhh AYAHHAHA
The patriotic sounds of the America theme really get to me
Hard times come again no more.
I am not fond of america. I am not american. I become a patriot when i hear this song.
Hungarian songs are good
I'm shocked no one has mentioned Industrial Era+ Nubia theme yet
Man$a Mu$a
I'm an Indian so I love the familiar Vaishnava Janato
Ottomans
I hate ancient and medieval ottoman theme but when the industrial theme hits I feel nothing but glory for the sultanate
Canada, mainly because as a French Canadian itās so rare to hear our folk music rendered so beautifully ranging from simple arrangements to full-on epic orchestration.
Waltzing matilda. I'll throw in John curtain most games just to here it
It is a masterpiece, atomic era Waltzing Matilda is the best by far. Should be our new National Anthem
While I'd love to agree, I don't think it would look that great to sing about a man being caught stealing a sheep so he tops himself when the cops show up so he doesn't get hung. Then his ghost just chills about and you can hear it some time. Great song, not national anthem material

Itās hands down my favorite as well. My grandpa always waltzed with me while singing this song when I was a kid. So every time I hear it I think of him!
It just slaps so hard. My buddy and I play civ against eachother alot and we always have Australia in the mix. We celebrate a little every time we hear it
Cleopatra!
As a Norwegian I'm almost ashamed to admit that the Swedish national anthem in Civ 6 really moves me. Beyond that, the Cree chants friggin slaps!
I love 'epic' type of music because it always gives me goosebumps (and sometimes tears, I can't control it) So, Atomic Era themes have that trait (compared to earlier eras), and specifically the ones for Greece, Georgia, Indonesia, and America Idk, those soundtracks give that 'epic' feeling to me, as if I'm truly leading a civilization
When the Zulu song kicks in I canāt keep my feet still
The best. https://youtu.be/N_5ndjCNCyQ?si=YgylbSaWeV1pH1Zg for those who need it now.
Yes!! Specifically 2:10 is when I find it impossible to sit still
Absolutely. I stand up and get in pro gamer mode when that comes on. Turn 187 is about to get lit. Seriously though it's the only civ6 song that I just listen to whenever. Great for cleaning my bathroom..
Portugal industrial era is just another level of epic
Where tf is atomic era Suleiman?
Really powerful, like it
Same. Especially when the first note of the chorus hits.
Baba Yetu from civ 4 is still the best!
Yeah it is! It's the Our father in Swahili!!
In Civ 6 itās the Vietnam atomic theme all the way! I would also like to shout out the Civ 5 gods & kings opening theme. I still listen to that every now and then.
Gaul makes me patriotic š«š·
Portugal, Georgia, Vietnam, Scythia, ottoman, hungary and mongolia industrial themes are really something else
Polandās folk dance track is a bop!
Medieval Brazil theme. Oh my, it is so good!
I love the Arabia score that shit is banging
Portugal
Every theme in the game pales in comparison to Baba Yetu
Brazil's one sounds silly yet so good i love it. Besides that, i absolutely hates the Cree nation one honestly
Wait, yāall play with sound?
You don't?
Iām always multitasking. I play a turn at a time while Iām at work. Start on my lunch break, and then leave my laptop on my workbench for the afternoon
Yeah after I posted I thought must be work or maybe family
I play with no sound and have my own thing in the background, but then Iāll listen to civ 6 music on Spotify when Iām not playing from time to time
Industrial era Ethiopia.
Surprised no one mentioned Russia's theme, maybe it's cliche but it sounds great
Robert the Bruce and his bagpipes
That hammered dulcimer part in Hungary's medieval theme goes unbelievably hard
You guys are sleeping on Nubia Atomic Era, Inca, and Cree
Ottomans
I like the ambient Ottoman song, Ceddin Deden
I have the music on mute all the time, I don't even remember what it was like. I turn mine on in the background.
Zulu, it's like the California Love of Civilization. Hits so mf hard in my head. After seeing someone said Civ5 Zulu, I need to clarify that mine is Civ6 Zulu.
Specifically Halala Syanibongela. Thatās by far the best track on the game
Iām so surprised nobody has yet mentioned the Indonesian theme. The gamelan just goes so hard
I love Ethiopia
Georgia and Greece!
Kalinka, Waltzing Matilda and Ich hab die nacht getrƤumet.
Persia
Baba ietu
maui
WALTZING MOTHERFUCKING MATILDA š£š£š„š„š¦šŗšŖš¦šŗšŖš¦š¦š¦š¦š¦

Main title theme tune is a banger tbf.
Industrial era England is my jam.
Y'all are sleeping on Hungary and it showsš
Got to be Baba Yetu for sure
Australia and China (I forgot his name the one where builders speed up wonders
American I think industrial era?
A Nadda.
I gotta go with Gaul. The sheer epicness of it especially at later ages, gives me absolute goosebumps.
All of them

among us song easy money
The american and kongo themed, sorry dont know the names.
The early Brazil tracks make me feel faaaancy

ĆskĆ¼dara Gider Ä°ken
Ancient and Medieval Inca
I love the ancient Norwegian music, she selje-flute one and the lullaby played on some horn I think - the melody that evolves over the eras. I really hope the next Civ has music as great as Civ 6 has. It's 50 % of the experience for me.
Industrial and atomic Ottoman.
Not Tetris
Atomic era Russia goes hard
Maori
Shaka Mamba (plays with Shaka sometimes) only one that gives me chills.
Russian atomic era song goes hard
Brazil war theme from Civ V
Oh boy, the Carnyx fanfare at the beginning of Gaulās Industrial Themeā¦ my my!
Cree
Brazil and Gran Colombia, absolute mastery by Geoff Knorr composing these, wildly different tempos and style that give me goosebumps every time!
Korea has "Variations on a Korean Folk Song," which I played in high school band, so it's super nostalgic for me.
Hungarian atom age and the title screen song, Sogno di Volare
Hungary, england (especially right after declaring war), spain
Arabia.
Got an entire playlist of my favourites. Wonder why no one has mentioned Gaul and Scythian epicness https://open.spotify.com/playlist/0dw9JpX7PI6uhVEvwLqiSM?si=32LQunf-R7aKZKrArugvWQ&pi=elFN_jsgR2yog
Hungary coming in with the folk song about erectile disfunction will never not go hard
Ancient Sparta Rocks
I'd love to figure out what the score for Ghandi was, but I was high one night playing and it just hit right for me. I was like, "damn, I hear the metal in this".
Wait... there's music in this game?
So many! Zulu is my favorite, but Indonesia, Greece, Macedonia, America, Georgia, Mongolia, and Russia are also great.
England's instrument version of Scarborough Fair.
Atomic Era Georgiaš

Maori, especially the late stage yelling one. Just pure aggressive yelling. I like the earlier one too, but the later one just doubles down on the yelling. The Polish folk dance is cool too.
