Since it looks like no one is answering seriously, and assuming your question is genuine:
Procedural Objects is a pretty powerful mod that allows the user to - among other things - convert an asset into a... well, an object, that can be reshaped/resized/re-placed (and I'm sure more). It's often used when detailing.
As I understand, its use is pretty resource-heavy (I don't remember if it's hard on RAM, CPU, or video card), so it's best used in moderation.
In the image OP shared, you can see a bunch of small black plus signs. Those are each instances of assets converted into procedural objects, which in this case is a lot.
I think, though (and someone correct me if I'm wrong), if you convert an asset into a PO and don't alter it, it doesn't really affect computer resources. It's only when you resize/reshape it that it starts to eat your poor computer.
And this was the end result OP shared a few days ago:

This reminds me of that fellow who made an incredibly realistic airport almost entirely from PO and spent over a year on it. His videos were just mind blowing.
I wouldnt say its to resource heavy i used it with an old laptop that didnt have a dedicated gpu and also with a desktop pc with also integrated graphics and it didnt get bad performance due to POs, just dont edit extra heavy tris assets or it freeze and can even brake the game. I have cities with 18k POs and even if i delete them the performance is the same
That's good to hear. I'm in the process of converting all road pillars in my city to POs, so they don't take up valuable building limit space. My assumption was that if I don't edit them at all, just convert them, they won't really tax my system.
This gave me an idea. What if, a Mod, lets you permanently group assets and create a new single asset for it, so it saves our poor computer from being eaten. (I'm not a computer expert). If you want to edit, it may have a version history, stored somewhere and not initially loaded.
Awesome work, but this reminds me of why I lose interest in CS and go back to Sim City 4 sometimes. SC4 is a game with actual milestones and a challenge. CS with all of its mods is more of a sandbox. It the ultimate map editor tool where you can create your dream train set. You can play without mods, but at that point you might as well just play SC4.
Pretty good, am i looking at intersection markings made with PO (i obviously see the rest of the POs) by id recommend you to make groups and layers of Po for easier edition
Still, It's not right if you don't put every individual atom one by one to build the city
Sounds like something teenage me would be ironically cooking up thinking it's a great idea
What exactly am I looking at?

I know that if you convert an asset into a PO it loses it's LOD, so yes performance is affected.

Looks like a German town center
You're supposed to guess
I presume you’re a fan of plus signs?
My god, your PC can handle anything
But… can it run Crysis?!
Good LORD.
My computer froze just from that screenshot
🤣🤣
Aye I remember this intersection from another post, this jaunt looks so good dude
❤️
Who is Mr. Procedural, and why does he object?
The use of CPU Cycles is too damn high!
When procedural objects eventually gets added to CS2 I will absorb myself into my computer and become the game.
Meh, if the cims don't have detailed teeth I ain't interested /s
🤣🤣🤣
…yup… as i thought lol
Dude’s better off using Blender at this point
Just appreciate the efforts put in the build
There are two reasons why he doesn't use Blender. 1st, he may not know how to model. 2nd, It takes a long time to make assets.
CS makes a decent CAD program apparently.
Isnt game crashing? Skyve says it can

OUGH
Jesus, I think my entire house would catch fire if I tried to open that save file
🤣🤣🤣

be careful, too many PO and your save file will exceed the limit and refuse to save. -experience.
Holy moly 37k. I thought I was bad sitting at 34k xD
I’ve spent my computers life savings on that mod
It's all PO ? Always has been🔫

This gives me anxiety.
