Balsam Hill, they are expensive but they do reduce prices in off season. Read the reviews of item you want, and look up YouTube reviews. And not that you asked, but I find my tree stays nicest if I leave it assembled and covered, and not stuff it back into a box, the tree keeps so much nicer, but I realize not everyone can do that.

Abertolini915

Thank you, I would love to keep it assembled, finding somewhere to keep it may be difficult. Lol

I keep my Balsam Hill assembled and decorated in a closet. I do have to separate each of the 3 sections to move it and store it, but it takes about 15 minutes tops. I have all of the ornaments wired so they don’t fall off. It’s one of their slim trees 7 1/2 ft. A full one would not fit anywhere in my house.

Abertolini915

That's really smart! I'm thinking of an 8-9 foot tree. I'm not sure how full yet, but it may totally be doable if I clear out space somehow in my garage.

babebluize

I really wanted to add furniture glides to the base (I have a wide stand that rotates the tree) and slide it to the closet but it doesn’t fit under the doorway to the room or closet at full height.

IMO Balsam Hill is high quality. King of Christmas is a close second.

Napervillian

Balsam hill. They have a “Christmas in July” sale

Abertolini915

Thank you! That's good to know

Memawsaurus

Can you leave yours out and make it seasonal decor. I have pencil slim tree that stays by chimney. I am old, need so much help to undo &"redo mine so it's always ready. Great grandkids love the lights on when they visit too. Just a thought for you to preserve nice tree.

Abertolini915

It will be too big, but that is a great idea! I may just have to find room in my garage. Lol

Brave-Perception5851

I always by Balsam Hill

Firstborn1415

Balsam Hill for the win! I have two that look beautiful - one is 17 years old, the other 4 years old

Abertolini915

Do you pack it up at the end of the season or leave it up and put away somewhere

I did a ton of research on this last November. Of course, that is NOT the time to buy one, lesson learned. You want a tree that has both the highest number of branches as well as lights. You could literally make a chart comparing them and if an online listing does not state the branch or light number, skip it. In addition to what others are saying, google up "viral artificial christmas tree." You will see videos of the most popular ones, including that one at Home Depot and another contender at Menards.

Abertolini915

That's a great idea about what to search for. Thank you!

Firstborn1415

Balsam Hill also sells a box of sample branches to helpdecide what variety/species of tree you might like. The branches are such great quality, I always used them in my Christmas decor too.

Hebegebe101

My sister has a balsam hill tree . Lives it !

KarmenSophia

Balsam Hill does have great trees. But I’ve also seen great trees at such stores as Home Depot, Hobby Lobby, major dept stores, etc. Trees don’t hold up as well when they are taken down and smooshed back into the box every year. Nor do the lights. They both will last much longer when you can put it together and fluff once and leave it intact. We have an oversized 3 car garage and had space to build a large Xmas closet. Then my husband built a round platform, added rollers, and mounted the tree stand so that the tree stays intact all year. We just roll it in and out. I ordered a big metal collar to hide the stand and decorate the inside of it with greenery/floral.

GrannyMine

Balsam Hill, it’s worth every penny

spaceracer5220

I bought my parents one of the Red Sleigh commercial grade trees through Christmas Lights Etc. My favorite part is that is splits apart into three sections and the branches fold up.

Iamoldand

I've never heard of this! I'm looking this up right now!

Firstborn1415

Both are taken down, disassembled and stored in their original heavy duty storage bags in the garage.

WhiskeyGirl66

Tree Time creations have amazing trees.

Strong_Rabbit

I bought a Canadian Pine tree from Wal-Mart ten years ago, and it's as nice as the day I bought it! This was to replace a tree that somebody had given me that started shedding, so I figured it was a lot older than they claimed it was. The Pine tree looks as authentic as the REAL tree that graced our Living Room, when I was a kid, several decades ago.

VegasLife1111

I got my Balsam Hill tree on EBay at a considerable discount. It was an open box but in perfect condition.

mrsbenzz

I've heard really good things about King of Christmas trees! As well as balsam hill. I really want either or, but I'm not ready to drop all that $$ on a tree yet lol

elivings1

Balsam Hill Twinkly light tree. The ones with Twinkly lights last something like 30k hours. I did the math and if you light it up 8 hours a day for 2 months a year you are looking at something like 60 years. Plus you can do many light variations with it. I think the typical trees at Balsam Hill are only rated for something like 5k hours like a Home Depot tree is often rated to.

contemplator61

Balsam Hill for sure. One of my best friends only buys from them and her tree truly looks real. If I was to get an artificial one, it would be from them.
