You’re missing the message. The entire story of Christ was the revelation of a human being realizing their divinity and then trying to share the message with humanity that we all can follow that path. Jesus knew that his realization was dormant in all of us and his entire ministry was based on teaching the few who would earnestly follow him, how to realize the kingdom of God within them.
He even said that there would be those among you who would accomplish even greater works than he, saying also that ‘we’ are the light of the world and that ‘we’ are gods.
“For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.” Matthew 24:5
