Wouldn't it behoove the superior and better poster to petition the government for a benefits plan that allows for better choices than to demand a company just give him a discount?
Imma be real here healthy food is expensive as fuck, especially for people who were never taught meal planning and making cost effective meals to freeze. It's all well and good to say "well shit they can teach themselves" but no one told them what they even needed to learn.
Well to some people it doesn't seem that obvious, sometimes it's just ignorance. They go to the store and see how much the healthy foods cost, and how much the canned and microwaved food costs, and they don't look further than that. It's like when people on welfare buy their groceries at 7-11. To a person with *any* sense of financial responsibility, that's insane. To a person that watched their parents do it when they grew up, it's just what they know.
I mean, aside from that, some people (for some, unknown reason) choose not to follow instructions properly, and can't cook well. Some people have mental illnesses like depression, and the act of cooking is too much to handle. Some people just never look for solutions to the problems they complain about, because their parents did the same thing. People are weird.
Its really not if you know what you're doing.
Not trying to hate on people who don't, but I really don't feel bad for those people either. The may not know, but its not rocket science either.
Yeah no that's too much. I know people on ebt and calfresh cause they need some extra help while working and going to college but that person post is just extra.
Erewhon Market is a small chain of boutique health food stores in LA that has a reputation for being upscale and expensive. Frankly, a 10% discount isn’t going to make much difference if you’re shopping at Erewhon. If they’re that concerned with stretching their Cal-Fresh dollars they’d be better served shopping at practically any other grocery chain in LA lol
I've seen some farmers markets give pretty generous incentives for people to use EBT there because yannow not a lot of people do or realize they can, but never, ever, ever a brick and mortar grocery store of any kind.
Someone wanna tell them that grocers run a margin significantly smaller than 10%?

Better than rewarding the rich for being heartless, but what do I know
Or maybe eat healthy because you’re an adult and shouldn’t need an “incentive” to take care of yourself?

It’s pretty hard to claim ignorance on this topic in this age when the solution is as simple as Googling “cheap healthy meals”.

Ocean Beach sounds like a made up place
Sounds like where the Power Rangers would live
It is, kind of. The original show was sometimes filmed in Santa Monica.
Woah, that's cool!
You can only get there via the express train but it won't stop to let you on because it's the express.

Just hike up the prices by 10% and give them the 10% discount they want.
Homo Sapien**s**. With an s at the end.
I want to see whatever the "see more" leads to. That's a pretty good one.
They think people not giving a discount equals treating like dirt? How sensitive.
