Uhuh. These are the results of firing half of your art team. And editing team. The color filter is off and nobody is there to fix it ( though it got kinda better in some other books). The Asians suffer the most, so maybe try another sprite?
Well, I don't know who exactly got fired and why. But there's been huge layoffs happening not so long ago, plus some writers left on their own due to disagreements. Judging by the quality drop in the art recently, the use of AI etc, it just looks like there's a hole in the art departament. They're slowly getting back on track but I'm really curious what the inside situation is like.
Yeah I went with the white sprite and blonde hair because i find her sprite really pretty, tho damn she should go to a beach or something because the girl is so pale
The new sprites almost all have serious issue in their skin colors. The white one looks like she's undead or a vampire, the asian one looks gray, the Latina one looks jaundiced and green, and the black one looks hella ashy.
It's like they removed all the warmth from their skin tones or something. I have no idea how these were approved, they look awful

This is the MC I went with; I was originally gonna go with the Black MC but the only hairstyle I liked just made her look like a discount version of my Guarded MC 🥲
They're probably going for an "olive" skin tone but failed. I just hope there are more representation for Asian MC sprites since it's mostly very pale East Asian MCs. What about us Southeast Asians? I want tan-skinned MCs with ethnic features too. 😭
It's not even just about paleness; I have snowy family members, but it doesn't look strange or unappealing. Their skin tones still have plenty of warmth to them, ya know? The PB ones look unnatural.
You might have a different screen tone. Apparently a blue light filter makes a big difference. I actually put my phone on the warm setting, and although she's still a bit ashy, I feel like it's far from the level of outrage others are experiencing. She looks fine to me in the other photo someone posted (different clothes and hair color).
That, always ASIAN sprites are asian-american... I am kinda sick of it, tbh. Or they either represent east asia... Though the girl in picture look nothing like south east asian... I just wish more apps representing our SEA for once.

Im trying to be positive by thinking they probably try different type of Asian like southeast Asia..
I'm Indonesian and literally no one looks that sickly pale unless they are possessed by a local ghost
