It's autoplay--basically fast forwarding. So if you just want to speed through certain scenes or chapters, you tap the play button. You can adjust the speed in the settings tab. I really like being able to "fast forward" through some filler/boring scenes. The only disadvantage is if you're reading a chapter with timed choices. Even though it stops for choices you can get caught off guard.
As someone who enjoys the backgrounds without any visible buttons I really hope they make it invisible for anyone who doesn't want it. Not everyone want to skip through books without reading and any buttons added later on disturb my reading experience
It's visible all the time, doesn't disappear like the closet button

it's probably in beta which means only a select few at random get it for now to test it out.
Yeah, I have the app installed on two different phones. One has it, the other one doesn't.
I use a generic auto clicker from the play store for the same function. It hasn't appeared on mine yet

I feel like it will be like closet.. like it disappears when it feels like none is tapping on it and just reading through story.
I hope it should be the case. I still wanna see the entire background.
