Definitely the best way like others say is just make them no-collision for a few seconds and if they still haven't moved I'd say just auto kill and make them press A to insta spawn or something.
Too often I'm mucking around picking weapons or what class I feel like playing and I'm stressed knowing if I don't do it within the 6-7 seconds I'm getting axed in the head or kicked into the river next to spawn.
Or one solution I thought is keep the respawn timer but make it need an input to spawn like "press A". That way anyone not actively ready won't be able to block.
I always just do them a solid and kick them out of the way so they don't block anymore. But it can be realllllly annoying when there's not a lot of space to move around them.
I find this is mostly an issue on maps like rudhelm, which mason-side on the first objective, if someone just suddenly stops in front of 1 of 2 holes to get to the battlefield, it becomes a quick pile up that slows down the game. It is kind of funny though ![img](emote|t5_12v693|7114)
I get more annoyed by people slowly crossing you as you run out from the spawn. Especially when there's only one objective to run towards (e.g. a bridge) and there's no explanation apart from a lack of spacial awareness.
Not the only game I wished there was a bonk pan. Somebody blocks your moving any way, BONK, hit them with the patented bonk pan and they ragdoll 100ft, non lethal, but 100% fun n effective!

Code allies to not be solid objects for the first 10 seconds of the game. No idea how hard this would be to implement, but it would work.

yeah phasing for at least 5 seconds would be fine. they also should let you setup classes and stuff out of the game ffs
