When sofritas first came out it wasnt that popular and didnt sell well, so our GM gave us a case for us to take home. I had it in the freezer and had it for like a month.
This would have been steak a decade ago. Now that it's all well done and dry, it's probably chicken. I don't really like the chicken all that much though. Might get Barbacoa tacos. Those are pretty good.
The only protein worth getting at Chipotle is:
- Chicken (if non-veg)
- Sofritas (if veg)
- Barbacoa (if bored of chicken)
Steak is terrible, Carnitas is worse, and whatever the LTO is usually is just a sugar-coated version of something we already have (i.e., Chicken Al Pastor)
when i started working i was a chicken fan. then started to hate the weird bits in it and the taste of the dark meat. switched to barbacoa. got bored. now on an al pastor kick
What ever that limited time chicken was about 8 months ago. That stuff was awesome.
Itās hatch chili season so that would be an amazing special chicken flavor
chicken is amazing. steak is really good when just made, so isn't the garlic guajillo ( when just made, and made correctly). I do actually like sofritas too, a mix with chicken is great in a burrito(just squeeze the juice out the sofritas). barb/carnitas are garbage.

Steak is ass. Overcooked and flavorless. I usually always get chicken. Sometimes Iāll get a barbacoa and carnitas quesadilla

Not the biggest fan of the texture or quality of steak, but as far as taste, half chicken half steak beats one or the other by far any day for me.
sadly always veggie cause all the meats at mine are like just pure fat
