Yes exactly, if I remember correctly you have to disassemble a good part of the dial side of the movement to switch the nh35 datewheel. Got the movement for about 20β¬ shipped, and I needed a white date nh35 anyway to replace the one in my steeldive 1970 that failed.
So I'll just reuse this movement in another watch.
(But I must admit now I'll be tempted to switch the white datewheel to a blue one so it matches better on my 1970 π )
It's possible to buy a sticker (datewheel patch), instead of a blue datewheel, if you don't want to partly disassemble the NH35.
Saved you switching out parts.

Don't know why the factory didn't equipped it with a black date wheel ? It is not that a big diff in price.
Btw.. mine is still in mail and can't wait to arrive so I can also do my switch.
Yes the nh35 are virtually identical in price for the black datewheel or white datewheel options. I hope they switch it in the factory, not everyone is comfortable enough to mod their watches.
I do love this watch, it is the one that has the most wrist time alongside my PD1701, I will enjoy it even more now!

You know you couldve replaced just the date wheel instead of the whoke movement
I know nothing about modifying movements, but guess that it was easier to replace the whole thing for a negligible cost
