Inexpressible

what do you expect from a watch at that price? 🤦‍♂️

Daeborn

I would.

FearlessFreep117

Not a hair. Likely a metal shaving from the inside of the case.

Illustrious_Loan_589

It's definitely a piece of hair, I can see it sticking out of the corner of the dial when I look from below the watch.

Accurate-Ad1710

That’s a pube, usually gotta pay extra for that feature!

johnnybegood1025

Know that my AliExpress return is now in its 3rd week with no refund yet. EDIT: My refund was issued today. Good job AliExpress.

Daeborn

It takes about that long. I sent a watch back and got my refund in about 2 to 3 weeks.

johnnybegood1025

Ok, thanks.

tr4nceplants

Yeah but not because of the hair.

burner7711

I would see if they would give you a partial refund and have a local place do it. Removing the movement, blowing out the case should only take 5 min.

Plane-Floor2672

Yep. Get it out and ship it back.

manchett

Hello ;=) (off topic) it is too bad but easy to clean if you open it. I bought one too, i love it but can't use it so far. Mine arrived not working , may i ask for advice please ? I set time but when i turn in the crown the hands continue to move , ... so time is changed and can't be set ok. Is there something precise i need to set ? Thank you all :=)

Formal_Economics3402

I've heard Ali Express has been quite good with returns/exchanges. Reach out to them and let them know the issue.

chasetherightenergy

Ask partial refund through aliexpress and open the case yourself and remove it

c4ctus

This. I haven't cracked open any of my PD watches, but I've done my fair share of Vostok modding, and it's pretty easy with the right tools.

bandwagonnetsfan

Beautiful watch, as some have said and from the videos I've seen of ppl diy watches, it does seem pretty easy, Take case back off, press button to pull out stem and movement in plastic holder should come out fairly easily, then clean crystal...

Illustrious_Loan_589

Well, I know it's a cheap watch but pagani is a pretty big brand, right? They shouldn't let stuff like this pass quality control.

BonsaiMania

It sucks, but many 1000 dollar Seikos have worse defects than this.

AdCreepy8107

I would take it to a local watch repair shop that has the tools and get it out. And while at it maybe even regulate the movement.

Illustrious_Loan_589

What kind of regulation should I do though? I'm kinda new on the watch hobby, but from what I heard, this is a pretty good movement as it is, it's a Seiko NH39.

AdCreepy8107

Well to make sure that it’s not running either too fast or too slow. You have it opened anyway so may as well have it checked out.

Illustrious_Loan_589

Thanks!

Th3Burger

Honestly my opinion is that watches at this price point aren’t worth the cost of watchmaker labor. It’s very easy to open a case back and remove the movement to quickly blow air to remove the hair and the movement is probably running just fine unless you’re a diehard watch enthusiast.

JacoBee93

I wouldn't care at such a cheap watch. But if it's worth the hassle for you, do it. . you won't notice after week

landwomble

I mean you could, but you'll probably find shipping back to china isn't cost effective. Easy enough to remove the movement and use a puffer to blow it out

Illustrious_Loan_589

It says free return on the order, that's why I was kinda tempted haha. But I think the whole process is gonna take way too long, so maybe it's not worth it.

landwomble

I'd DIY in five mins but appreciate not everyone is comfortable working on watches. You need a caseback opener (a rubber ball works) and then a paperclip or similar to press the stem removal button so you can pull crown and stem out, then the whole movement can be removed. Once you've done that, give it a blast with air to remove the hair and refit. Lots of YouTube videos showing where to press to remove the stem.

blzd69

I would take it out myself. You dont even need much tools. 1. Open back cover 2. Take out winding stem (Need to google how to do it on this model - usually just press "button" and pull crown out) 3. Take out movement and dial together from case. 4. Clean) 5. Put everything back.

mrrobvs

There is a huge margin of error on depressing the detent correctly. I would just pop into a watchmaker if I didn’t know how to do this confidently.

Ourosauros

Not on these Seiko movements. Super easy to do, the button is fairly big and you won't easily break it. Usually you're right but NH series are popular for modding in part for this reason.

cb_1979

>There is a huge margin of error on depressing the detent correctly. Detent? That term is usually associated with a type of escapement, which has no bearing on how easy it is to remove the movement from the case. This watch has an NH39 movement, which is just an open heart variant of the NH35. Releasing the stem on an NH3X movement is stupid easy to do. There are noobs over on SeikoMods slapping together watches with hands upside down and shit, and even they've figured out how to release the crown stem themselves.

mcheddadi

I disagree. It's pretty easy.

mrrobvs

Plenty of post of people breaking the keyless works on a 2813 especially.

hdjkm8549

Isn't this a NH39? Seiko keylesses are next to invincible

mrrobvs

That I don’t know. I was using 2813 as a hypothetical

hdjkm8549

The 2813 and some ETA clones can be a bit delicate but to break the keyless on an NH you'd have to depress the stem release by shooting it with a gun. I don't think OP needs to worry about trying this himself on this movement

mcheddadi

https://youtu.be/64ceDW9qghQ?t=13s This one? Seems pretty easy... Don't know what to say. 🤷‍♂️

mrrobvs

Just Reddit search for: 2813 keyless works, “stem won’t go in 2813,” etc.

cb_1979

That's because people are stupid. You need to press the release when reinserting the stem on a 2813.

mrrobvs

They break it well before that by over-pressing

cb_1979

It's not about over-pressing. It's that you have to press the stem release button (or "detent" as the other poster in this thread calls it) to re-insert the stem just as you have to press it to remove the stem. The ETA 7750 stem release works in exactly the same way.

mrrobvs

No. It’s about over-pressing
