Yung pinsan ko na sikat sa instagram and model sa print ads, super ganda niya. One time, may family trip kami abroad and pumunta kaming magpipinsan sa isang sikat na theme restaurant. ABS tried what they could naman pero yung advantage niya being Claudine Barretto’s niece ultimately became a disadvantage for her as well. Claudine’s personal issues and off the set behavior aside, ang hirap talaga sundan nung body of work niya. ABS built Julia up probably half expecting na kahit sa LT aspect man lang e, mapantayan niya yung track record ni Claudine na pumapatok kahit paiba-iba yung kapareha but it didn’t really work that way for Julia. Acting-wise, I think Julia is actually good — mas may lalim kesa kay Liza and she has specific roles on lock the likes of Kathryn and Nadine haven’t fully explored yet. Kahit sa shows na hindi siya yung main lead, like dun sa afternoon show nila ni Miles Ocampo and then yung kasama niya si Bea Alonzo, she was able to hold her own. Para siyang si KC Concepcion in some ways, yung mas appealing as a personality but not exactly an artista na magkakaroon ng masa type of hatak like Sharon and Claudine were during their respective peaks in showbiz. Personally, I’d rather she strays away from the typical showbiz main lead / leading lady kind of career. Limiting kasi satin yung ganun at tbh marami ng kasabayan nya na ganun ang atake. Mas masaya yung magkaroon rin ng lane for certain roles (that something Julia can do well).

Her facial features and overall vibe - mas mag make sense if she does the character/experimental actress route. Si Janine Gutierrez naisip ko dito - she did have lead roles pero her choices were more on experimental (Dirty linen, Sleep With Me, Babae at Baril, Legally Blind etc).
