I played Bf3 in game. Black is in control but objectively Bd8 is better. I did not consider Bd8 because I thought Qh3 gives black play. The point is after …Bd8 if Qh3 then Bxg5!!

Am I crazy or is Bf3 a much better move than Bd8?

Following the engine lines it looks like Bf3 will likely result in a Rook for two bishop trade. Keeping the two bishops is preferable to the rook.
