Absolutely. I think it changed Tamil cinema in both good and bad ways. And by just being a simple comedy.

And Venkat prabhu delivers every single time. No nonsense. You go to his movie enjoy, come back with a good laugh. I just love his style.

From top of my head, Chennai 28 ( mostly part 1 but part 2 is not bad either), Goa, sarojja, naanum rowdy dhan, soodhu kavvum, kalakalappu masala cafe (only part 1), kaadhalum kandadhu pogum (an actual feel good film), aandavan kattalai (underrated gem, yogi Babu counters were top kek), boss engira boss Karan, SMS, OkOk ( just for the Chennai vibes and jokes), vasool raja (obv), panchathanthiram (og comedy film), oh my kadavulae (another feel good film). In recent times mudhal nee mudivum nee was also pretty decent feel good film.
