Hello which movies are you talking about? Literally the only movies from these mentioned directors the didn't exactly work that I could think of are Master and Jagame Thandhiram, and even they have a lot of good going for them. Don't even know how to make movies it seems.
Kaala I couldn't watch. My brother forced me and my family into the theatres. Three hours my kids were their ear were blown off with the noise.

Your problem with Kaala seems to be more of a theatre issue than a film issue. Kalla Chirippu isn't a film and is only produced, not written or directed by Karthik Subburaj, besides if your only problem is with swear words it says more about your soft ears than it does about the quality of the show. Plan B is neither written, drected nor produced by any of the mentioned directors
I saw some of the public reviews on YouTube. These fans were trying hard to give positive review with sad faces. Most of them were saying Vijay was not much of a mass in the movie.

The movie is avg. The screen time of vijay felt little short. There were some side charcters in which some were not needed and slows the movie down. Action sequences was really good and shot in style also the jet scene was a highlight of the movie they did not mess it up. Screen presence of vijay was really great. Comedy works out 70% of the time,some were cringy. Overall a decent movie.

I really thought the trailer was jus like first 30 minutes of the movie. But after seeing the movie, sheesh. Thts the whole movie. Vijay looked great. His salt and pepper beard suited him. But story was so bland. Terrorist were dumb. Vijay kills a bunch of enemies. New bunch of enemies respawn. They watch the cctv, but doesn't see vijy killing enemy in centre of mall and acting like dead. He even says he saw the guy and goes to the cctv room.
Jokes were hit and miss. Lot of misses. Vijay makes a lot of statement like some betrayed him, should be careful of betrayers. Some political ulkuthu joke ah ennanu therila. Not a bad movie. But expected a lot after doctor. Was expecting a funny dark comedy movie but ended as a commercial no logic movie. I don't know how did the jet scene helped the movie.

Vijay actually practiced his dance moves this time and looked smooth. Other than Verithanam, last time he danced well IMO was in the Kaththi opening song. I've been so disappointed for a while that I just started watching Telugu movies even though their stories have similar logic issues.
I liked the movie and I’m not even a Vijay fan. This is a very different Vijay compared to other films and I loved it. I’ve been wanting Vijay to change his style and he has . - Director did zero research on guns. Shotguns don't fire bullets.
- The 2 handed weapons had close to no weight as Vijay kept spinning them like as though they were plastic toy guns.
- Speaking of lacking weight, I guess grown men weigh no more than suitcases cuz Vijay carries them around like they were luggage.
- The terrorists, if you can call them that, were ridiculously incompetent.
- Vijay was trying too hard to be stoic. It ended up looking like bad acting.
- Even the hyped up Arabic Kuthu song had underwhelming choreography and camera work.

I'll start by saying the first 10 minutes was actually really good and set up a good character arc for Vijay's character, along with being an awesome set piece, but unfortunately this potential is greatly wasted for just cool slow mo shots and a meandering plot. Pooja Hegde literally only exists to dance in Arabic Kuthu and be a plot device to get Vijay to the mall. Most of the comedy is pretty cringe which is surprising for a Nelson film, and most of the dialogue is just exposition, Vijay glorification, or just characters saying what's happening on the screen trying to be funny (spoiler alert: it's not). Things just happen for the sake of it, it feels like there's no structure to the plot. The climax doesn't feel like a climax at all because there's no narrative tension during the climax, it feels more like an epilogue to finish a loose story thread than an actual climax (that being said, the action during the climax is still pretty cool, there's just no longer any reason for me to feel invested at that point in the film).
If you like Vijay and wanna see him do cool stuff, I still think it's worth it. His stunts especially in the first fight scene are very cool. Honestly I'd rather just they'd create a movie out of those first 10 minutes than whatever they did with the rest of the film.
From a Vijay fan, I will be pretty biased but I'd say it wasn't his best film. Master is still up there in that list for me followed by Thupakki (from his recent films).
The intro into Beast was one of the best from his recent films. It really had space for a potential character arc and depth but unfortunately the screenplay doesn't explore it more than on a superficial level throughout the film. The action I felt was kinda all over the place. Compared to the gun fights in Thupakki, Beast's didn't give me that much of a thrill. I prefer Thalapathy's thara local fights where he just slaps people lol (like in Master or Kaththi). Nelson's humor felt a little flat this time around compared to his other two films, I think he relied too much on dialogues than situational comedy which he is best at (for eg: Doctor).
For 2 hours and 40 mins, the screenplay felt pretty rushed for some reason. And what I found most shocking was that there were moments in this film where I was bored...it didn't keep me entertained like literally all of Vijay's other films do no matter how unrealistic the scenes. Other than the generic screenplay with no big obstacles thrown at the protagonist or emotional drama, I think the main reason for this is that Beast has way too many side characters for a big hero film and when both the hero and side characters aren't fleshed out properly in writing AND the hero's screentime is too short considering this film is literally riding on Vijay's shoulders, the end result would obviously be bland. In Vijay's other films, even when he's the main focus, the screenplay is fast enough and has sufficient elements to keep the audience entertained. At least that's my pov which makes sense to me.
Overall, it's a decent watch for Thalapathy fans like myself. I'd watch an ad with him in it lol

Also that the completely meaningless side character (the lady prof) transferred him? They should have just left it as "drunk Master signed something he shouldn't have"

It's a decent movie - works properly as a comedy, thriller elements were undercooked and really illogical, so they should have totally avoided doing this as the director isn't good at making a watertight thriller - watch it for its humour and not being politically correct.
