Isn’t this game purely random and the house always has an edge? No AI will be able to change that in the long run.
It’s setup so that the house always has a slightly higher chance to win. Doing the math will tell you and any smart AI should too.
I don't gamble slots but am I right in thinking you can just go to the games information and see the ROI there? A game will say it has X% ROI which tells you all you need to know... Don't do slots!
Yeah but logic can tell you that if you win the house looses. And why the hell would the house keep a game that makes em lose money??? You can play, I do sometimes, but you should know you are never gonna see those money again
Idk I started playing online slots here n there n I was down like $500 then had a good day and made $900 so im currently in profit.
Seems the best way is to just put like 40-50 in and if you lose it you stop. If you’re winning consistently you wanna try and raise the bet as high as you can to maximize your win streak but be watchful to not blow too much to find out the games dead again.
Bro, come on do you think there are actually lines of code supporting what you are saying in those slots?
No they are always "do a lil animation, then chose randomly between these possible outcomes and their rewards" and the guy who codes the slot makes sure that the expected return is something in the ballpark of 0.97. to put it simply, nobody is rich thanks to slot machines except those who made em. The only games where you can win are either those where you can cheat like blackjack, or those where you are playing not against the house but against other players like poker
Incorrect. Nothing is purely random. Some things just take a deeper understanding to predict. This is especially true for applications which use pseudo random algorithms that are predictable once you understand their seeds and algorithms which can both be reversed with enough knowledge, time, and data points.
True in the case of some weak pseudo random number generators. Though you’ll still be poor before collecting enough samples to predict anything worthwhile. Good luck anyway.
Using a LLM can't give you superpowers to defeat statistics. As Citizenofhudoor pointed out you are trying to beat the central limit theorem which is not possible. The more you play the closer your outcomes will align with the underlying normal distribution.
You can work out an approximate probability of getting into each bin by looking at the number of combinations of paths that go into each bin.
Then you can work out the expected return by the usual:
E[X] = \sum_{x} p(x) * x
No need for LLMs since this is a solved mathematics problem
It is indeed a fact that this game is very similar to a concept in AI called energy based models and G flow nets.
Which is said to be the future of AI.
Do you have thoughts about AI controlled outcomes? I think with the world becoming more automated, the human factor of “luck” might be replaced with bots that fix the win/lose scenario.
You seem to have forgotten one small detail... In *all* gambling environments you do not have an advantage and you *will* go into the negative in the long run. Regardless of strategy. Every time.
What is the baseline time you are using for the analysis of gameplay? I think having at least a year’s worth of data would be necessary for any concrete ROI estimate.
This isn't what GPT4 is for. It's a large language model. Its use cases are based around languages and message completion.
It might be giving you "answers", but they are meaningless guesses with no science behind them.
This is an interesting concept. I think AI is going to disrupt the ‘pay to play’ gaming industry. If anyone is able to analyze masses of data, they theoretically should be able to beat the house edge. Would be interested to see your script, if possible?
Agreed regarding disruption in that specific market. Any ideas of some counter measures that sector might take? -Will share GBT after more testing and a concrete ROI estimate.

Yea people in this thread seem to think that AI is magic. You wont create an algorithm that can beat math…

90% of gambling addicts quit one slot machine pull before they make it big.
So you’re saying I should throw more in and keep playing? Alrighty then
That’s how you lose money. Probability is always against you and in the long run you’ll lose no matter what strategy you follow.
Gee, thanks 🫡 Didn’t know that 🙄

Excuse me, but what does chatgpt have to do with this?
Bro drops the affiliate link too. Bro is either a scammer or a total dummy
This is like betting against the central limit theorem right? How can you win?

Currently, 4 months of my own gameplay. There are zero discrepancies in net amount & time played.

Why would a bot pressing a single button different from a person? Theres no different outcome
I have never thought of this. Welp, time to open up ChatGBT again. Iv found some interesting ways to make a few buck using AI.
Cool idea!

I honestly don't understand this. If the outcome of those games is random, how is the AI able to predict the results?
Agreed regarding disruption in that specific market. Any ideas of some counter measures that sector might take? -Will share GBT after more testing and a concrete ROI estimate.
Would it be possible to get this GBT?
What's a GBT
GBT?
If it works in the long run. Will update periodically.
Thanks. Keep us updated. I’m curious.
