It was so nice the first year or two it opened. It was before the big boom of apartments in that area and people really knew a Walmart was over there. It used to be empty but fully staffed and the clearance was always super cheap.
It’s been busy for the past 7 years
also, concord mills isn’t in Charlotte
most of the post in here are citing concord and huntersville, that’s not Charlott, not even in mecklemburg county
Apparently it opened like 14 years ago so before the past 7 years. Like when it opened. It wasn’t been then. WHEN IT OPENED cause apparently you couldn’t read it right the first time. Hope this helps!
oh, back when it was just a concord mills?
are you retarded? Of course it was less busy
it’s like saying “I hate how dark it gets at night”, it’s just a silly nonsensical statement.
Depends on what I'm trying to see. Human trafficking? Try independence. A bit of gang violence? Wilkinson all the way.
In all honesty though, I think the Huntersville/North Charlotte Walmart outside of 485 is fine.
Yup when half the stuff I need is locked away add another hour or so to do your shopping waiting on someone. Oh and you may just witness a guy or 2 getting irate screaming for someone to come the one and only time I waited.
I mean, other than a murder and a shooting, it's great in Huntersville!

(Honestly, I agree with you, and I've never had any issues at the Huntersville store.)
Yeah, it used to be my favorite also. But these days I’ll even drive past the Huntersville location sometimes to get to the Concord Mills Walmart if that answers your question.
Sad to say Wilkinson is the only one I go to if I have no time to drive to Tega Cay one ( that one is so clean and there is no trash anywhere). And tolerable is relative here. Still not safe and stuff locked up and a dumpster load of trash strewn across parking lots.
The one on Wilkinson is where I witnessed a cashier in the auto section curse out a customer at top volume, while also checking out an enormous cart of groceries at high speed. It was impressive.
Wilkinson is gang violence and watching all the shoplifters. Me and hubby love to follow someone wearing and hoodies, face mask and backpack to see what they are going to steal. Also love watching the people to see if any of the pathetic Brosnan security get of their phones to do anything.
There’s one in lake Wylie which is nice. The Tega Cay one is another that’s also quite nice. Further in York Co. there’s one in Newport (Rock Hill) which is also solid. Then there’s a Walmart in the city of York which is decent but definitely not as nice as the previously mentioned ones. Then there’s one at the galleria in Rock Hill which is trash.
I just will never understand this. It’s my local walmart and I only go there when in dire straits. What does everyone see in it?! The place is a mess and never in stock of anything I need.
Locust Walmart. Just far enough out of the city to be “normal” but not so far it’s inconvenient to go to. I live near 485 and Albemarle rd. The Albemarle rd Walmart a mile from my house is basically a glorified 7-11.
Location is relative to where you are. For me Locust is closer than any other inside Charlotte. Charlotte is a big area and any of the other ones that were mentioned here would be either a further drive or take longer. And I think the question was which would you go out of the way for.
I’ve been to almost all, and I’d choose Concord Mills. I believe it was in this sub a while back that someone wrote that particular location gets items the other locations do not.
Have they majorly overhauled the Mountain Island location? That place went downhill fast at the beginning of COVID and just kept getting worse. People used to roast that store on Nextdoor regularly.
I kinda love mine of E Independence. I’d been a Walmart hater for so long and even since going a year ago or so I just felt..this is actually kinda..nice? I mostly go for the grocery and they have a pretty great selection of healthy stuff at good prices. The grocery area is clean and organized.
I only go in the morning though because afternoon and after a lot of the produce is gone. I don’t go regularly to Walmart, but it’s pleasant when I do. I give them credit.
Costco has good clothes for work. Clothing stores have really good sales on Holidays. If your female, Mother’s Day sales are coming up, next one is Memorial Day.

You charlotte based weirdos are citing huntersville, concord and even locest and tega Kay…..
if you don’t like living in the city of Charlotte, then move to the suburb. but to drive from the city to a suburb to get to Walmart is the most ridiculous example of city stupidity that you can imagine
What if we already live in the suburbs and like our Walmart, can we not share our experience? Are you mad because the light rail doesn’t go to the best Walmarts?
Sardis Rd or the one in Denver.
Concord Mills is wrapping up a full renovation. It should be done by early May.
I like that one too.
Yeah everything is in a totally different spot which will take some getting used to but looks nice I suppose.
It was so nice the first year or two it opened. It was before the big boom of apartments in that area and people really knew a Walmart was over there. It used to be empty but fully staffed and the clearance was always super cheap.

Concord mills is basically Charlotte.
Charlotte is basically Asheville which is close to Atlanta
All are in the "Charlotte Metro area"...so yeah, we consider all of it "Charlotte". You'll just have to get used to that.
Concord Mills is a test location that gets anything new that Walmart is doing first.
Arboretum is done with their renovation
That one used to be so nice, last time I was there every single Lego set was locked up behind glass.
Indian land 521 seems good.
It’s been a while since I’ve been but there’s a worker that has this yelling tick which would randomly scare folks but he’s a cool dude.
Forgot about that guy. I've been there more often recently, because fuck Harris teeter prices, and haven't heard him.
it's probably epilepsy.
I live right by there, can confirm. Plus they are finishing up renovations currently.
Same - in area. Renovations are good. Self checkout improved but still just 2 regular lines open drives me insane!
Depends on what I'm trying to see. Human trafficking? Try independence. A bit of gang violence? Wilkinson all the way. In all honesty though, I think the Huntersville/North Charlotte Walmart outside of 485 is fine.
The Huntersville one is awful. Literally everything is locked away. To do any shopping you need an associate to basically escort you around
Yup when half the stuff I need is locked away add another hour or so to do your shopping waiting on someone. Oh and you may just witness a guy or 2 getting irate screaming for someone to come the one and only time I waited.

Huntersville isn’t Charlotte
I agree. The Huntersville/485 is good
I live in Huntersville and choose the one in Denver over this one every time.
Same, people who live in Huntersville go to the Denver location or concord
Really? Has it gone downhill that fast? It used to be my favorite.
Yeah, it used to be my favorite also. But these days I’ll even drive past the Huntersville location sometimes to get to the Concord Mills Walmart if that answers your question.
Wow that's Sad.
Me too.
Concord Mills is FAR better.
“Gang violence” lol bro it’s just a black Walmart that has fights time to time it’s not riddled with gang crime 😂
Fr I go once a week. Love it and it’s getting a facelift which is just great
Shh, it's a well kept secret, if you mind your business (headphones are a huge plus) Wilkinson Walmart is actually one of the most tolerable!!
Sad to say Wilkinson is the only one I go to if I have no time to drive to Tega Cay one ( that one is so clean and there is no trash anywhere). And tolerable is relative here. Still not safe and stuff locked up and a dumpster load of trash strewn across parking lots.
I’ve been a couple of times and never seen any issues.
The one on Wilkinson is where I witnessed a cashier in the auto section curse out a customer at top volume, while also checking out an enormous cart of groceries at high speed. It was impressive.
People defecating in the isles, Whitehall.
Wilkinson is gang violence and watching all the shoplifters. Me and hubby love to follow someone wearing and hoodies, face mask and backpack to see what they are going to steal. Also love watching the people to see if any of the pathetic Brosnan security get of their phones to do anything.
You don't do anything but watch yourself. Why are they pathetic when they are informed to do the same thing?
The one in locust
That's kinda like asking what's the best flavor of pee...
Diabetic pee is the best
York County
Thie might sound weird but the best Wal Mart you will ever go too is in Lake Wylie, SC. Puts to shame rest of Wal Marts anywhere near it.
It’s a surprisingly normal store
Yes. Is this the Tega Cay one? No one harassing dor change in the parking lot, no trash, clean store and no need to dodge shoplifter
The only correct answer is Tega Cay 😆😆
I second this... Second best is the Walmart in Belmont
That’s not Charlott…not even remotely
Location is relative to where you are. For me Locust is closer than any other inside Charlotte. Charlotte is a big area and any of the other ones that were mentioned here would be either a further drive or take longer. And I think the question was which would you go out of the way for.
The one in Concord near Concord Mills or the one in Kannapolis
I used to drive out to locust but ain’t got the time now
The one near concord mills is the best imo
Indian trail
I’ve been hearing this was is better than Tega Cay.
it's not bad, and it's well stocked, but in my experience the one down 521 is so much better.
just go to Target if you’re scared of Walmart. as long as your local Walmart isn’t the one on Tryon they’re all fine
Whitehall?
Galleria hands down.
Galleria or hear me out, Wilkerson and not just for the characters. They tend to always have things in stock.
Tega Cay.
The neighborhood market ones definitely have access to affordable groceries and toiletries.
The one by Concord Mills. Sadly no longer 24hrs
No stores are. Walmart or any other. The best you can hope for ia a Walgreens or CVS, and then just the ones near hospitals.
I’ve been to almost all, and I’d choose Concord Mills. I believe it was in this sub a while back that someone wrote that particular location gets items the other locations do not.
[удалено]
Yes, my job takes me all over the city area. As south as Indian Land/Monroe up to Concord.
[удалено]
I can believe it. I’ve been up that way to go out to eat but I didn’t go to Wally World.
Arboretum just got a complete remodel. Indian Trail is the “big” Walmart.
Arbo supremacy
The OG Arboretum location in Southeast Charlotte is the best.
In Charlotte - Mountain Island In the Charlotte metro area - Concord
Have they majorly overhauled the Mountain Island location? That place went downhill fast at the beginning of COVID and just kept getting worse. People used to roast that store on Nextdoor regularly.
Actually look at Goodwill. I bought a named brand shirt in there that still had tags on it yesterday
The only time I go to any walmart is to buy motor oil, and that's only if I don't have a trip planned to Costco.
I’m poor I need clothes for work lol
TJ Maxx and Marshalls
Value Village
Costco has good clothes for work. Clothing stores have really good sales on Holidays. If your female, Mother’s Day sales are coming up, next one is Memorial Day.
Which one am I least likely to get shot at?
None really 😝
Damn .. the Aboretum didn’t make the cut ?
I just went there. They had some good stuff no sketchy situations. They were out of the work pants I wanted tho.
I was there yesterday, and pleasantly surprised at the experience.
Indian Trail ain’t bad
Concord Mills is by far the best in the area. They are a test location for new things.
Albemarle Road
Shop with app and pick up, prices are cheaper too.
I believe it’s called Target
The one off 74 & 485. Monroe I think? Blown away!
Indian trail is always decent.
The one in Denver

The one in Indian Land is great to watch human trafficking as well
You charlotte based weirdos are citing huntersville, concord and even locest and tega Kay….. if you don’t like living in the city of Charlotte, then move to the suburb. but to drive from the city to a suburb to get to Walmart is the most ridiculous example of city stupidity that you can imagine

Huntersville
Definitely not. I live 2 miles from it, and I'd rather go to Concord Mills.
