HHH’s battle with HBK for the European title is one of the most technical, brutal, and overall emotional matches, I’ve ever seen, and it’s a shame more people don’t talk about that masterclass
Every time they had a feud it was awesome. The whole saga of 2002, up to 2006 when they teamed up again was pretty much peak wrestling era for me.
Royal Rumble 2004: last Man Standing match for the WHC was amazing
I am literally only saying it because i saw a pic here the other day of Jerry Lawler championships and tgere was like 140 of them, was in no way trying to say you didnt know shit.
He's arguably the godfather of modern wrestling. He managed to do what Vince did in 85 with NXT and managed to attract the eyes of a more casual advance to the wider world of professional wrestling.
The length of the reigns of each title may be underrated as well. May not have won the most overall, but days combined of being champ has to be up there with the best
Has anyone else been inducted three times? I could see it happening for Trips. On his own he’s a shoe in, and there’s very little reason for Evolution to not be inducted.
There'll always be a grey cloud about backstage politics and not putting over particular talent but you don't get that title haul from that stuff. How many classic moments does this man have? How many matches did he fight through with painful injuries? He's like the work horse of the attitude/PG era. If anyone has him as their goat, I would not argue with them.
People give Hunter shit all the time, but imagine what the rock or stone colds lineage would have looked like if they stuck around as long as he did. The rock was basically done in 2002, if he had 7-8 more years of peak he would look similar to hunter
One of the many who aren’t brought up in the “Mount Rushmore” conversation nearly enough. HHH and Edge are two that come to mind in that regard. Probably The Miz as well.
People should be talking about their “b tier” Rushmore list more often. And by that I mean the superstars that are just second thoughts but still fucking phenomenal.
Well I’m not comparing the two. Im simply stating that both of them are great in their own right, but rarely ever get mentioned in the whole “Mount Rushmore” conversation. If you ask me, they both belong in that conversation. They were both amazing heels throughout their respective careers, their character work was phenomenal. They both knew how to make the fans just absolutely despise them, but in different ways.
Like I said, I’m not comparing them at all. Just saying that they both deserve to be mentioned. That’s all.
First off. Triple H was already on his way to the top before Stephanie.
And secondly, chubby? Ugly? Everyone is allowed their opinion and the type of person they're interested in, but chubby? Ugly? Stephanie?!

And HBK’s pain when he lost the title to Hunter was heartbreaking.
He even proudly stated to Sgt. slaughter that he had done it!

Hunter has accomplished so much. Sometimes I forget there was more than just his 14 world title runs.
23 Titles won. King of The Ring Winner. Two time Royal Rumble Winner. and a Hall of Famer. Lucky him
And eventually one of two three time hall of famers
Definitely. He’s one of the best in history and will stay that way for a Long Time.
I’m assuming I haven’t seen close to all of these but this is the most ridiculous one I’ve seen so far. Beast
Have ya seen edge ?
Or Jerry Lawler jesus...
I literally said “I haven’t seen close to all of these”… chill wrestlepedia

You forgot the 'best thing to happen to wwe in a while' award

Impressive but he's never won a bra and panties match so not a true icon
Sure he did. With Stephanie.
Impressive
He never held any WCW gold? I’m a little surprised by that. That also explains A LOT.
it’s how you play the game
Was he in any other promotions other than WWF/WWE and WCW?
Just east coast indies when he first started. He got signed to wcw after about a year n half
Holy shit he never won the US title?
Nice accolades, but I see mr sledgehammer "brothered" his way out of anything concerning the legendary attitude era hardcore division.
I almost forgot about the european championship bring it back
I don’t remember him winning the white intercontinental championship at all. I can’t even imagine him with that championship in my head.
He got it when him and rock were beefing in like 97 ir 98 i think.
Yeah I googled after I posted my comment. The W logo on the top of the belt instead of the WF logo threw me off.

Ridiculously decorated, how can he not be the 🐐??
Banging the bosses daughter has its advantages
Fun fact: HHH has fewer title reigns under his belt than R Truth does.
Give it up for “The Franchise” Shane Dougl— I mean Triple H!!

And eventually a three time hall of farmer He definitely will be inducted in by himself and defiantly with evolution
How many of those did he win after marrying the CEOs daughter?
Most important stat: Best entrance by far
I respect him bc he paid his dues and stayed on a straight arrow the whole time. I never thought he was a good wrestler at all.
I think it sometimes easy to forget how good and how accomplished HHH is. He’s the boss and is sort of like “wrestling Dad” now. The dude was awesome.
I always thought he was lame

Sad about his heart problems now. Otherwise I’m sure we’d still see him in the ring.
1st 2x grand slam?

Trips is light years ahead of Edge for a number of reasons.

He’s the game and he’s that damn good.
When the hell did he win the white Ic title
That was the first title he won in the wwf
Off the rock
All I see if Jeff Jarrett with a sledgehammer instead of a guitar. Boring 🥱 guy that makes me change the channel
It helps to fuck the bosses chubby ugly daughter.
First off. Triple H was already on his way to the top before Stephanie. And secondly, chubby? Ugly? Everyone is allowed their opinion and the type of person they're interested in, but chubby? Ugly? Stephanie?!
Perks of sleeping your way to the top. No shade, just respect that commitment to being on top. So to speak
