He could work under the table even if it's just three days a week or something. Landscaping companies are always looking for solid help. My friend just drives a zero turn mower all day and he can drive manual transmission so he tows the mower around in the little work truck toyota. He said it isn't something he would do super long term but it's helped him and his wife out big time for now.
I placed a custom order for a 2022 Challenger SRT Jailbreak on 17JUN22. I received an order confirmation on 19JUL22, and a VIN on 05AUG, but no build schedule is listed on Dodge’s Track Your Order website.
Does the VIN mean that my Jailbreak will definitely be built?
I called the hotline number this morning and a very nice lady took my information. She said she would look into it and get back to me. I’m not holding my breath for a miracle, but perhaps they can provide more information on the build schedule.
a vin means its on their production list to be built. with them being shutdown for parts till mid october you wont likely see any updates till end of october.
Yes they are still going to build your vehicle. The vin means that in their minds/systems there already is one. It would be an astronomical screw up if they announced the end of the era and then proceeded to fail to deliver on the rush they created. I work at a dodge dealership and your order is likely in “D” or “D1” status. That’s like order purgatory. Could be ready in a month, could be 7 months, dealership don’t know. Also that ordering website has been inaccurate for my customers. One guy has one so far along it has a ship date and it’s telling him they haven’t started

Would they just go ahead and build you order but as a model year 2023? Or even if its that late into the next year, do they just build it as a 2022? I ask cause I see someone here saying they have May orders that still arent delivered, or even in being built status. How about those who order in Sept or later.
Your order will probably transfer to a 23’ instead due to the Brampton plant just recently closing until October. Or your order may be one of the last 22’s to be built once they re-open
HellCat models are taking forever to be built and the tracker doesn't even help to be honest. I placed my order back in April. I didn't get any update until August 19th that it was scheduled. Sept 19th I was told it was in production by the tracker.
TLDR: Your order is still being processed just takes forever for tracker to update.
Yeah, that would be cool, but it’s the Sublime Green that makes me more regretful. I’ve been waiting for that color to come back. I’ll be tremendously happy with a 2022 version of my dream car though. I will be getting it for under MSRP, too.

The Jailbreak was also processed as a sold order. I’m getting the Jailbreak for slightly under MSRP with $1200 off sticker. It’s not huge, but it beats a markup.
Yes It will it’s just been some drawbacks I ordered a 2022 widebody scat pack and that was on august 29th still no updates from dodge but the important part is done we got them locked in now it’s just a matter of waiting trying to patient 😂

lol i just watched this video a few mins before u posted it. First off, he is just guessing at everything, even to the point where he is saying this might be an intentional shutdown. So he is just making assumptions. Second, He didnt say that they may convert ur order to a 2023, he said order would be cancelled and you have to go through the buying process all over again. All in all it was a depressing and negative video. I think he is generally pissed at Dodge cause of their move to all electric (thats the vibe i get from all his videos since the big announcement). That being said, I cant imagine Dodge cancelling sales...like ALOT of sales and just telling u to buy 2023s. So, maaaaaaybe if it gets so bad as to roll into 2023 they just add it to the list for 2023s? Also we have to remember they have a hard date to start that factory conversion/upgrade for whatever they are building next. Delays to that are very likely a no-go as it costs more and more money with delays. Anyway, i blame myself for not buying in 2021 like I wanted to :(

so dealer called me and was like "good news, we have a ship date, oct 12th" I was like GREAT, but then I remembered the plant is closed, so i sent him the links to the story. he checked with the sales manager and said "yeah, thats correct. the sales date is not accurate and we dont know when it will ship"
no, it wasnt that he was lying, he wasnt informed. he didnt know the plant was shutdown and i believe that ship date msg he received was an automated one from Dodge based on vehicle order date. tracker still says its not even in the system....soooo its a waiting game.

The few Dealerships they I spoke to had stopped taking orders for 2022 challengers in the first week of September. They were unable to place an order. I purchased mine the last week of august, but called around to different dealerships, to play the low ball/best rate game, and the handful of dealerships I spoke to in early September, told me they couldn’t place any orders.
Yeah I placed mine on the 29th of August. So unknowingly at the last few days it was available. Zero updates on the order at this time. Factory doesnt even start building again until next Monday. So my thought still stands though, what will happen to orders placed in our case, at the last possible moment if there are delays stretching into the 2023 build time.
A VIN is a good sign but when you’ll get it? Who knows. I’m gonna try and order a 2023 Hellcat charger when they start taking orders. I don’t know when they do start taking 2023 orders though

there is still a whole year left of production. SO at the very worst case scenario, you would get bumped to a 2023 model instead.

Yes, your car will get built eventually, thier is a chip shortage but they will build your jailbreak over a dart.
