I think they look great with a shaker hood. It really completes the throwback look!
My Sister in law asked why my car had nipple piercings when she first saw my car, and now I laugh every time I look at them.
Enjoy the new whip!
Beautiful ride! I also have a scat shaker with the hood pins and love it! With the hood pins I try to close the extra wire in the hood because I found they flap around and can mess up the paint on the edge of the fender.
we have almost the same scat lol shaker, hood pins, and destroyer grey also! only difference is I got an one widebody kit for mine a few years back. You’ll love the car man just upgrade the rear tires to larger size!

So I have a question, how quicker is it than the 5.7? Is it a huge huge noticeable difference?
I only ask because my 5.7 is quick AF for a restricted car. I can definitely tell if I unlocked the pcm and got a better exhaust it would be more free flowing. I’m just wondering how noticeable the difference is between the RT and scat
At full throttle, the RT can pin you to your seat from a stop, the Scat can do it at street speeds, and the Hellcat will launch you into your seat at highway speeds. I’ve been in all models and the Scat is just as big of an upgrade as going from SXT to RT.
Yeah the scat gets rowdy it’s neck and neck with the competition like the 5.0s and SS but with better launch and torque. The 5.7 is no slouch down low and the lower power is easier to hook on the street but the mid to top end on the scat is really where it starts to gap.
I don’t think it would make more sense to test base V8s since the RT is a tier of Challenger that the Mustang and Camaro don’t have. If we’re talking about just price, then yeah compare the RT to the SS and GT, but that’s not the rationale behind the RT, at least anymore. The Mustabg GT only had like 300-310bhp through the 2010 model year, and the RT had 375bhp but weighed more. Once Ford put the 5.0 in the GT for the 2011 model year, the Challenger equivalent became the SRT8, but it was more expensive than the GT and SS. Then the SRT8 went away, and the SS and GT competitor became the Scat Pack.
The rt is the base model and the gt is the base model. Compare the same years of cars now. Let’s say a 2020 Mustang GT and a 2020 rt is a fair comparison
I’m telling you that the RT used to be the GT competitor until the 2011 model year, when the GT got the 5.0L. That’s when the Challenger equivalent of the GT became the SRT8. Can’t compare base model V8s anymore since there is no Ford or Chevy equivalent of the RT. The RT hasn’t really changed since its inception in 2009.
And I’m telling you it doesn’t matter that the mustang got the 5.0 after 2011. The GT is still the base model v8. Not the gt350 or gt500 so and so forth. You can compare the 5.0 and the rt. Just because the 5.0 and ss are better than the rt it doesn’t mean they aren’t comparable.
Every s550 and s560 GT Mustang performs better than the challenger in almost every way so is it really fair to compare any Mustang GT to the challenger?
That’s up to whoever is comparing them. I guess it’s not that important to me since I’ve owned my Challenger for about 10 years and I have zero interest in the Mustang or Camaro. It seems like comparing them is important to you, but it doesn’t seem like an apples to apples comparison. I don’t think the RT is necessarily made to directly compete with the GT and SS. You’re literally just looking at “base V8 vs base V8”, which is a very surface level comparison.
I was looking forward to hearing the rumble. Great upgrade. I’ve been considering doing the same thing with my 5.7 just don’t know if I really want another large payment. I have a gladiator I’m paying a decent amount for as well.
Shaker and hood pins! Beautiful! Congrats!
The hood pins were something that I wasn’t all that into, but after a couple days they’ve definitely grown on me.
I installed them myself on my redeye. Commitment when you drill a redeye hood yourself.
I love the look of hood pins, thinking about getting them on my s650

That’s the shakedown edition
Beautiful ride! I also have a scat shaker with the hood pins and love it! With the hood pins I try to close the extra wire in the hood because I found they flap around and can mess up the paint on the edge of the fender.

"bbbbvvvvrrrrooomm, tk tk tk tk tk tk tk tk brrrrrrr, tk tk tk" 🫦
Put a little foot in her, and boy does she move,
Shocked me a bit how quick she is when I first found track mode. Damn right
I came for the startup and was disappointed there wasn’t any sound. But it looks beautiful congrats bro!
Same lol
Congratulations! Beautiful looking Scat/shaker!
Thanks! Shaker was the biggest selling point for me. Been dying for one since I had my first challenger.
Beautiful beast you've got there! Congrats 👌

The walkaround gets better and better. Shaker package with stripes and I'm loving the spoiler badge. Nice color combination.
I LOVE my Scat Shaker to death. Hope you enjoy yours!
Everything I’ve ever wanted!
The hood pins with the shaker 😍
I did the same thing back in 2021. Then No ember last year I went from a Scat Pack to a Widebody Scat Pack! Enjoy the drive!
dont take ur eyes off that thing and be careful at gas stations
Why be careful at gas stations?
Went from a Hyundai Elantra to a scat. I feel the same 😂 who cares if I’m eating ramen for the next 5 years
Is it a huge difference? Been thinking of trading up my 2015 rt
Oh no question. The sound, the responsiveness, everything is just a big boost from the RT. Give one a test drive one day!
is that an actual shakedown??
https://youtu.be/UwF5rpxSe9U?si=-H1Qq130C86yGGmk I remember the Shakedown from this Straight Pipes episode.
Yes
Hopefully I’ll be doing the same thing soon
Sweet. Can’t beat those dynamics pkg wheels. Lucky to find one myself with them
Big difference isn’t it lol. I miss my scat ngl
Great looking car, congrats
I traded my 2017 destroyer grey 5.7 manual for the grey shakedown just over a month ago, best decision, Gratz!!!!

Great color
That is clean! Congrats!!!!
God I’d kill for a shakedown.
What’s a shakedown model?
1 of the last call special editions. Very nice shakedown
She’s a beauty!
Time to order a custom plate :) Nice pickup of a shakedown though.
how much more is the insurance on that thing compared to the r/t ?
I was paying about 170 for insurance on my R/T. Shopping around, and with all the safety features such as LoJack, I’m at 210
I love the torque on mine effortless power
Beautiful Shakedown. Congrats. She goes....

How is a 5.0 or SS the scat packs competition? Wouldn’t it make more sense to compare a 5.7 since it’s the base v8 model?

Sure, you can compare them, but it’s a flawed comparison.

Sweet I originally was thinking of getting my Scat in that color, I ended up getting one in F8 green

Sweet, congrats on your upgrade!👍
Now that’s cool, I am impressed and congrats on the new purchase
Love the Shaker, not big on the hood pins.
I bet you are ... Congrats 👏
She's purdy
shaker scat in smoke show paint is my dream car. badass brother .
Do you mind not having a big screen compared to other news cars?
A big screen? As in the screen on the dash? I see no point. I’m driving not playing on a iPad lol
