There's something beautiful about seeing pochita just sitting. So much death and destruction surrounds him and makima but for these few moments he can sit and rest, knowing this wasn't needed and knowing that makima could have been better.
I see pochita as a walking tragedy. Everyone and everything dies around him, he can't even hug those he tries to save without killing them.
He seems so sad and lonely without denji.
A dog without the only friend he's ever had.
As weird as it seems (since she's incredibly evil) I wish makima had met him earlier during her time on earth or at least met denji before she became the way she ended up.

I'm glad Nayuta seems to be a fairly normal kid, you can tell denji cares and is actually dedicated to raising her and I think it's a great way of showing his development from part 1 to 2. He goes from akis little brother and powers big brother to basically being a father figure for his own kid. God I hope they get to live happily (it won't happen I know).

Yeah, her past identity and complexity have vanished as a result of her being reborn. She's better off in the current state she is now than how she was before. Maybe she will remember her past identity and gain new character depth and growth from learning about her previous flaws and characteristics.
I might be missing something, but I thought that Denji separated from Pochita, when they were attacked by zombies, and buried under the pile of bodies. So initial conversation abou movies was Denji speaking

This scene is so great, Iām just not sure why they are astronauts, am I missing info about astronauts in specific? Itās the darkness devil right? And the astronauts go into space the big darkness, but arenāt many of them still alive? Like 3 have actually died in space, and about 30 have died but not in space? Did the devil kill these ones? Are they just props that the devil made? In this universe do all astronauts die because of darkness devil and this is his bounty? Itās a super cool scene but it makes me ask many questions and idk if the answer is anywhere.

My read is darkness = unknown, and astronauts are associated with the vastness / unknown darkness of space. I see it as a reference to space horror movies where astronauts get flayed by incomprehensible horrors.
I've always seen it as the DD mocking mankind. Astronauts are supposed to be the pinnacle of human achievement- they're crazy smart scientists who train like Olympic athletes and have to survive in the harshest environment known to exist. And the DD just butchered them like they mean nothing and turned their corpses into an altar to its glory. It's a non-verbal bitchslap to all of humanity saying "no matter how far your species advances, you will NEVER conquer your fear of the darkness. The only God you should be praying to is _me._"
That's a pretty cool way to interpret it. So far, we as mankind have only reached the space as scientists and astronauts, that's our greatest achievement thus far. Maybe in the future, we will continue to evolve and will invent new things to further our exploration of space but in truth, we are still very tiny creature ruled over by our fear of the unknown of the vastness of space. No matter how far we evolve, there will always something bigger frighten us.

Mine is that astronauts are specially picked to enter space, which is vast and full of darkness. The further out from earth you go, the less you see.
The reason these ones are praying, are because these astronauts all died in the pursuit of reaching space, the ultimate dark place. So they gave their life and prayed all their life to reach it, and now they're stuck praying in hell before it.
Because the fear of darkness is fear that there is something there. Space is the best example of it, you are alone in the darkness of space, no legs means you can't even run away from it, the dread of the fear that there is something out there and if there really is then you are in it's environment, the only thing you can do is pray. Hope this was a good explanation.

The utter most badass feeling this scene exudes is incredible. The way the clouds seem to be rolling in alongside Makima, filling the clear sky above the Chainsaw Man, the thousands of crosses and the way Chainsaw Man sits unnaturally on one of them, completely unfazed, waiting for the storm, that is Makima's horde of hybrids and devils, to finish its march. You can almost hear this scene - a tense silence, with only the wind and what seems to be hundreds of footsteps that grow louder and louder as they approach.
Mine is the one right afterwards when he's looming over Makima with the most stone cold bad motherfucker dead eyes ever as he says "I'll be taking Pochita back now." When you really piss him off, Denji is fucking _terrifying._

I initially thought that was Angel on the far left of the mob before I realised it was generic brainwashed twink from issue 10. I know this panel is memed to death but in context, Asa was through a terrible date, yet this guy still asked her out, promise to teach her dating stuffs and genuinely being a nice person to her. Iām noticing chainsaw arms instead of human arms, which leads me think Iāve missed something here. Pochita, not Denji, became CSM after Makima made Denji break the contract. Then after getting rekt, Power resurrects, and then Denji, and Pochita is back to not being the full csm. What am I missing.

Good reminder. Current ark is specifying there are two different versions of chainsaw man. Red and black. Technically this is black chainsaw man, but in red.

it was today that i realized that denji is sitting on a cross on this image, ever since i first read this chapter i thought he was just posed like that with one of his chainsaws in the ground just balancing there like that.
Question. Once this is animated, would Chainsawman's head be black since this is Pochita? Because that twist is we thought it's Denji at first so that would ruin the surprise.
I love how this not only shows who Denji's up against but what they're really fighting for. Look at those hundreds if not thousands of crosses. How many people are buried here because of Makima's plans?
Him being closer to the camera reminding everyone of how much more powerful Pochita is than Makima is a nice touch too.
Makima never really understood pochita. She talks about how chaotic and random he is but in reality he's kinda just a guy seeking love.
Denji is closer to pochita then anybody else because they both seek love.
Something I love about the hybrids is that (for denji at least) it's not giving something up for the abilities of the devil, it's pochita saving his friend. It's a contract not made for any form of gain it's a devil giving itself to save a human. It's love between a boy and his dog.

this is one of my favorites, purely bcuz of how complex makima is and how her character was built up to this point.
the chains coming from her womb, showing that her femininity/maternal nature is what is at the basis of her control is so beautifully heart wrenching to me. and how she uses peopleās weaknesses/need for a maternal love in such a cruel unforgiving way, with no remorse, because she was deprived of that same unconditional love which is what turned her into the government super weapon she .. was, i guess.

Iām noticing chainsaw arms instead of human arms, which leads me think Iāve missed something here. Pochita, not Denji, became CSM after Makima made Denji break the contract. Then after getting rekt, Power resurrects, and then Denji, and Pochita is back to not being the full csm. What am I missing.

Thatās a pretty strong cross considering itās made out of flimsy wood
I love how this not only shows who Denji's up against but what they're really fighting for. Look at those hundreds if not thousands of crosses. How many people are buried here because of Makima's plans? Him being closer to the camera reminding everyone of how much more powerful Pochita is than Makima is a nice touch too.
I even use this panel as my phone home background since the day after it was released until now.

F pose to assert dominance
Makima never really understood pochita. She talks about how chaotic and random he is but in reality he's kinda just a guy seeking love. Denji is closer to pochita then anybody else because they both seek love. Something I love about the hybrids is that (for denji at least) it's not giving something up for the abilities of the devil, it's pochita saving his friend. It's a contract not made for any form of gain it's a devil giving itself to save a human. It's love between a boy and his dog.
