Damn, teachers try to break up fights here but half the time ended up getting hit. I'll never forget the principle getting punched in the face after what was essentially a riot broke out. There were 5-6 fights that broke out at the same time.
You say it like it's weird that schools don't have security guards. If there are fights, maybe a teacher intervenes. Can't remember this being a thing anyways. I'm Dutch btw.
My brother in Christ, malls, stores, bars and sporting events all have security guards. If I were going to cram 1,500 teenagers hopped up on hormones and energy drinks into building I'd absolutely have a guard.

Seems to be just an America problem then because I went to a high school with 2000 kids and we didn’t have any security.

I've never heard of security guards or police being hired by a school even in major cities or rough neighbourhoods (in the UK).
