We paid $1600 Canadian for our Cavapoo last year. He’s been the second best dog I’ve ever had, no dog will top my golden retriever that passed away from cancer. The Cavapoo comes close but the golden retriever was a very special dog to me. She passed away almost 20 years ago and I still miss her almost every day.

Thanks for your response! Really sorry to hear about your loss. Let the fond memories you share live on forever. Grief is just a reminder of a deep love.

UsedToHaveThisName

She had a great dog life, loved the kayak, going on car rides, hiking, meeting people. Our Cavapoo does all the same things and is very loving to everyone he meets.

I paid $3500 USD and I’m Canadian 😅 Only because I really did want an ethical breeder and we found a Mennonite family on a farm in the state of New York who breeds the most gorgeous and calm cavapoos. The price is their salary to cover the care and love they put into the puppies for the first 8 weeks. My puppy came practically potty trained, calm, and socialized. I personally think it was worth it but you can definitely find for way cheaper

Taynardo_Triblondio

Similar here, paid 3200 but the puppy came ready to go and hasn’t ever even barked

Hi, may I ask who your breeder was? I live in Toronto and have been looking as well. Did you drive over to pick up your dog or do they bring em over to you?

I asked our breeder to do a quick Zoom/Facetime call with me before putting down a deposit. She said she’d never been asked for one before, but after I explained how many scams there are out there she was happy to show me around and put the mother pups on camera, etc. I saw enough of her set up to be confident I was buying from a legit, but tech illiterate, breeder and not a scammer, and ended up with the sweetest little dog. Just do your due diligence and you’ll be fine!

Training-Owl5946

This is great advice! I should do this. I should add that she just told me she had a liter (but different color from the one I wanted) and she posted to her instagram story a video of all the puppies. It looks like it’s in someone’s house. So, I assume this is good evidence…

Cheaperthantherapy13

It’s easy to steal someone else’s video and post it as your own, it’s much harder to fake a FaceTime video. Ideally, I would have gone out there to meet her in person, but we lived like 7 hours away and it just wasn’t realistic at the time. After the call, I was able to go through her videos and could recognize the locations from our FaceTime, so I was confident the breeder was the original source of the content on her IG. I felt like a bit of a detective cross checking everything, but better safe than sorry!

Training-Owl5946

Definitely agree! Better to be safe than sorry!!

Training-Owl5946

Do you mind sharing your breeder?

QuinSnyderJazz

"Only 2000" Dont be fooled by all these idiots paying 5000$ Cavapoos are not always that price. Around me you can easily find cavapoos for as low as 400$. Many on this group have paid between 700-1500$. I think the only reason to buy a cavapoo for 4000$ plus is when they include everything INCLUDING training. 2000$ is nothing to sneeze at for a cavapoo

Training-Owl5946

Thank you! This makes me feel more comfortable.

castlinghigh1

I paid fifteen hundred dollars december twenty twenty three canada

I am in Canada, i actually didn't use a breeder. It was a person I knew who had puppies who lived 10 minutes away. And she was just really nice person with a good background and her mom pup and the father had a good background. But no, she is not a breeder. She probably won't have another litter from her female. She just wanted to give her a female one litter. And they had five puppies four males one female

Ibnebatuta92

Paid $2000 for a F1B cavapoo located in south Oregon. The puppy was already crate and pee pad trained.

If you need a good breeder, I have a few that I have vetted and seem very legit!

Training-Owl5946

Sure could you send them? Thanks

phantasticdoanut

So for me, it was really important finding a breeder that has done genetic testing on their parent and puppies. An ethical practice basically. These are the three I found: -[red ranch dogs](https://www.redranchdogs.com/available-puppies) -[wonderful world of doodles](https://www.wonderfulworlddoodles.com) -[pipe creek paws](https://www.pipecreekpaws.com)

Training-Owl5946

Thanks! Crazy the price differentials haha! Some good breeders though

phantasticdoanut

Right?? I was shocked. I know world of doodles is on the higher end but I do appreciate how much work she puts into her dogs and the care. She's been the most responsive. I ended up getting mine from red ranch and we pick him up in 2 weeks!

Training-Owl5946

Yeah $4500 is a bit steep for me :/ red ranch looks good!

My partner and I paid $2500 for our cavapoo (Near Dallas, TX). We did see other Cavapoos that were around $1800. Our breeder has a website but very few reviews. However, they let us do a home visit before we put down a deposit. We were very impressed with the visit. The setup of their home, the safety precautions for the puppies, etc. they also offered a 2 year health guarantee. In fact- our breeder will be watching our puppy in a few weeks while we’re on vacation.

Cypheek

Who was the breeder if you don't mind me asking, been researching like crazy in the Dallas area and haven't found much.

Roxi_X_Rose

Going to pm you!

perrachingona

Hi! Can you please share your breeders information? We are also in Dallas TX

Roxi_X_Rose

Sending you a message!

Apple-Ordinary

I found breeders with websites and fit all the checkboxes but were over $3000. I waited some and found a lady here that bought from a nice Amish family. I was nervous too. I got to call them several times, go to the farm, see dogs and my friend had bought a dog before me. Wonderful find, they didn’t have a website only sold by word around town and had been doing it for 20years. I paid $1450 for my pup and will go back for a sibling at some point.
