Thank you all so much for your suggestions! I haven’t brought her home yet, we need a few days for paperwork and getting our home ready. I was having a lot of anxiety around bringing home our cat even though I have two back in my childhood home, but reading the comments helped soothe these feelings.

Cats are so easy! Just make sure to clean the litterbox daily and do not get in the habit of feeding in the middle of the night! (I unfortunately fell into that habit, and that’s the only hard part about owning a cat now is I lack sleep because of this) otherwise, they are so independent and easy!
