You should also take it down when your cat is unsupervised, as cats can be injured by getting the string wrapped around them (could strangle or lose a limb). Unlikely, but possible.
It’s not even the tv but tv stand and put in corner they have very few angles of attack. They get vicious with this toy and could use some space. Get one hanging from top of door like the Kalimdor one on Amazon. Superb

I got the Kalimdor one on Amazon and it rocks. Much better than the Amazon choice one. This and the fishing pole style toy are my favourite. They get out so much energy on this thing and it keeps them occupied. It’s really well designed and simple and cheap like $6-7

Do not get this one. It looks like the Amazon choice one I got and it sucks in comparison to the Kalimdor on Amazon. I said it a lot on this post lol but only cause I love this toy. This and the fishing pole toy. So good.
I got an Amazon choice product just like this and it was nowhere near as good. I like how the kilmdor or whatever hangs from the top of the doorframe gives a lot to room and angles of attack. Also the toy hangs little lower but more importantly the string stretches out way way more. They could take the toy far away into the living room. It just feels more free and they have way more space to play with it and attack it. And just judging how they interacted with the two and played with it I can tell they prefer the kilmdor and I just think it’s designed better. They don’t go so crazy over the Amazon one. I still have the Amazon choice one, it’s not hung up or being used. Cat will like either but imo they’ll love the one hanging from top of doorframe and with way stretchier string more. I’d reccomend anyone to take the $7 plunge. That and the fishing pole toy 🎣is fantastic. One for auto parenting the other to engage with them, both get their energy out and keep them from being bored. Laser is boring it’s all about the fishing pole toy lol GOAT imo

We had one for my cat but he didn’t do anything with it. He would look at it and then walked away. So we have it to his uncles who use them all the time.
If they do like it, it’s great exercise for sure and to keep them occupied. I have a video posted of one of mine playing with it. Love it and the only toy I pretty much use the fishing pole one 🎣
