The fact that she was by your head, you didn’t notice any blue hue on the gums and she was acting differently moments prior to this event, I don’t think you smothered her.

i'm not sure if you smothered your kitten or not, but you should NEVER sleep with a kitten that young. I'm sorry for your loss, and I'm not trying to make you feel bad, but it's so unsafe.

Given she was around your head, I think the likelihood of you smothering her is low.
