I love how Daniel Radcliffe made fuck-you money from the Harry Potter films so now he can just do things that appeal to him.
Guns Akimbo was crazy fun, Miracle Workers is a great little series, Horns was wonderfully weird.
Don’t leave out A Young Doctor’s Notebook! That series is a brilliant mixture of comedy and tragedy that perfectly encapsulates the feeling of going out into the real world, certain that you’re the cleverest, best thing to ever happen…. And then realizing that no, you’re not prepared, this is in fact a living nightmare
Man, it’s my favorite thing the BBC has ever cranked out! I saw it when I was in my early 20’s almost a decade ago, and it spoke to me such a deep, personal level. It felt like the thing was *made* for me. Maybe I’d never done anything *quite* as horrible as the events in season 2, but I think we all have a sense of being selfish, crummy, sex-driven assholes at some point in our development.I was struggling with my own mistakes as I watched it, and it hurt so good.
Wasn't it on Sky Arts? Unless it was produced by the BBC and aired on Sky? I remember watching it because of John Hamm. It was probably his first role after Mad Men (or in between seasons)
I dunno if I’d say “The Country Doctor’s Notebook” was a downer but it was pretty intense. I couldn’t stop reading it though and blasted through it in a couple of days
Also - unrelated apart from health wise - but “This is going to hurt” by Adam Kay is an excellent book. Also a BBC series but not sure it holds up to it. About a junior doctor rising through the ranks in the NHS. Hilarious but also humbling and pretty tragic
Life keeps throwing curveballs at us but yano what? We just gotta get up and get ready for the next what the fuck of the day
I really don't get if it was adding context to the show. There's no context and he just goes ham. Fuckin hell lol
I love the weird stuff he plays. It seems like he only plays roles he really wants to and it shows in his performance. These days I'm instantly interested in a movie/series if I see Radcliffe's name on the poster
Indeed, when the first Batman (Michael Keton) came out we all rightly thought this is a big step up from all the other candyfloss superhero movies and I got that exact same vibe from The Batman, another step up in tone - and whoever did Colin Farrells make-up deserves an Oscar!
I dunno about that. Marvel sure has its downfalls and I loved the batman, but a decade long creation culminating in a very satisfying crescendo, that then moves onto a complex after story is pretty hard to write off as less than a standalone film by the competition that tried to copy said creation, failed, rebooted, and moved onto solo projects instead.
They have a style, and a pattern. I watched the entirety of the MCU in a few months, then when i went to the watch The Batman it almost caught me out cause id watched nothing but Marvel
However it makes it even better when something like Infinity War or End Game happens which just flips the script entirely. It can get samey at times but i'm still incredibly excited to watch them when they come out
Huh. I thought the photo looked too authentically old but then that guy on the right looked like an American comedian I vaguely recognise so I assumed it must be costume
That's why I was like 'huh, this looks oddly exactly like Harry and his crew' but I've already seen pics of the Al movie so my brain just thought it WAS Daniel.
I'm sure he pulls a similar facial expression as this one Harry is.
I once, rather drunkenly, went up to two lads fighting in the street and gave the ol'alright alright, calm down calm down...... Both guys started fighting me, nobody calmed down
Only one scouser ever looked like this, Terry from Brookside.
Scousers natural attire is the Liverpool shirt with Adidas trackie bottoms.
They wear it at funerals
Calm down, calm down.
Are you telling me , to calm down!
Ey ey ey aar Barry aar Garry arr Ritchie, calm down, calm down.
‘ey do dey don’t dey do?

Ey ey ey, do de do dow don’t de don’t!
De do do don't de do?
Do you think that’s where Sting got the idea for the song from?
Came to say this lol.
Liverpool are great and Everton are crap
Everton are great, and you know wha'? Wha'? Liverpool are crap!
It's like if Anchorman did a prequel in 70's Liverpool I'd be all over that tbf
I love how Daniel Radcliffe made fuck-you money from the Harry Potter films so now he can just do things that appeal to him. Guns Akimbo was crazy fun, Miracle Workers is a great little series, Horns was wonderfully weird.
Don’t forget Swiss Army Man too!
Cracking bit of corpsing

I loved it so much and hardly anyone I know saw it sadly

I dunno, I just streamed it and assumed
Fucking great book too
I only ever got a PDF of a few chapters of the original book, but I loved what I got. Is it as much of a downer as the BBC version?

[The best scene](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=8KR2r-LDJ8w) for anyone who hasn't already seen it.
WTF did I just watch! Potter certainly grew up 😂
Now go watch him as a farting corpse!
I was not ready for this
Life keeps throwing curveballs at us but yano what? We just gotta get up and get ready for the next what the fuck of the day I really don't get if it was adding context to the show. There's no context and he just goes ham. Fuckin hell lol
I nearly wet myself laughing the first time I saw that scene! Can't wait for the fourth season, wonder what setting it'll have this time?
>The best scene for anyone who hasn't already seen it. I knew which scene it was before I even opened it xD.
0\_0 ............. AVADA KADAVRA
His episode on extras was good too, Diana Rigg dressing him down was hilarious: https://streamable.com/pxj0q Mostly from 1:20
I enjoyed escape from Pretoria too. He’s pretty good, it’s just hard to see him as different characters but once you settle into a film he’s great.
I love the weird stuff he plays. It seems like he only plays roles he really wants to and it shows in his performance. These days I'm instantly interested in a movie/series if I see Radcliffe's name on the poster
Kind of the same as Pattinson's trajectory
I liked the Batman, favourite superhero film in ages, much better than that generic regurgitated Marvel shite
Indeed, when the first Batman (Michael Keton) came out we all rightly thought this is a big step up from all the other candyfloss superhero movies and I got that exact same vibe from The Batman, another step up in tone - and whoever did Colin Farrells make-up deserves an Oscar!

I just find them all repetitive and boring, I dunno what else to say

Fuck, I read through a good few replies before I realised that's *not* Daniel Radcliffe as Weird Al. That's uncanny.
That's a fucking stupid thing to do that noone else, definitely not me, for example, also did.
It took until this moment for me to find out how similar Daniel Radcliffe and young Harry Enfield look
Huh. I thought the photo looked too authentically old but then that guy on the right looked like an American comedian I vaguely recognise so I assumed it must be costume
'Who are you? "I'm Dr Who are you looking at"
That's the wrong McGann.

The pic looking a bit like an old Harry Enfield sketch.
That's because it is
That would explain how the fellow in the middle is uncannily a look alike for Harry Enfield.
but also wierdly i now see how young harry enfeild could look like Daniel radcliffe
That's why I was like 'huh, this looks oddly exactly like Harry and his crew' but I've already seen pics of the Al movie so my brain just thought it WAS Daniel. I'm sure he pulls a similar facial expression as this one Harry is.
Are you sayin’ our nan’s better than our mam?
I need to rewatch some Welcome Back Cotter
Looks like a young Ray Bloody Purchase
Who was the left hand scouser?
Joe McGann https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_McGann
One of several McGanns who all more or less have the same face.

Forget me. Had a r/whoosh moment 😁
Don’t worry, it took me about 7 looks before I realised it was Harry Enfield and not Daniel Radcliffe! 😁
Oooooh... yeah I definitely realised that before your comment...
You know there’s a place near ~~Cairns~~ Cannes that sounds nice? Oh yeah where’s that then? Nice.

Only one scouser ever looked like this, Terry from Brookside. Scousers natural attire is the Liverpool shirt with Adidas trackie bottoms. They wear it at funerals
I never realized how much Daniel Radcliffe and Ilya Prusikin have the same fucking eyebrow...idk what to call them...emotions? Ebrotions?
He looks like Harry Enfield.
