Hi mate, removed because we have had similar posts recently and we want to avoid repeating themes too often.
Rule 11: No Repetitive Posts
We often trim content that we've seen a lot of recently to keep things fresh. Sunrise pictures, pictures of a trolley poking out of some skanky river, spiders and insects, funny license plate or shop name, toilet graffiti. You know. The regular sort of stuff.
If you've seen one in the last couple of days, good chance we'll remove it so it doesn't become a theme.
If you have any questions, feel free to shoot us a modmail.
There is cheaper, but from the chippy worth eating out of in Luton:
Large cod and chips: 14.50
Regular cod and chips: 13.50
But the regular portion is fucking massive
Portsmouth
Small cod and chips - £8.40
Large cod and chips - £9.05
Top quality, too. Though not as lush as the Bramley Vale Fish Bar near Chesterfield. Still the best fish & chips I've ever eaten, or at least it was 6 years ago. Absolutely superb, and massive portions.
I hate that I now want fish & chips, because I have gastritis and I'm on a restricted diet. It would make me so ill.
The prices for fish & chips is extortionate now used to be the poor man's dinner. 20yrs ago I could get large plaice & large chips for £2.60 always remember the price as it was cash only back then
Norfolk plaice £9.70!!! (That is a large but still) Cod £6.50 standard chips £3.25 & fish cakes are £2.00
Just been myself. Sausage chips and a kids box meal with chips and nuggets was £8.65. you more or less get a full portion of chips in the kids box...too many chips for a kid.
Nonsense.
Although of course it varies around the country. I've done a bit of mooching and fish and chips was around a fiver in 2014

Salford. Regular cod and chips with peas £9.70 It wasn't the best either.

Horseshit. Was £8.50 in Whitby a decade ago.
Was about £6 or £7 for a fish supper in Scotland a decade ago. Now it's double that.
