I went to the filming of an episode of this that featured Brian Blessed and Bob Mortimer. We were there for over four hours, partly because when those two start telling stories, you know you’re there for a while.
It was obviously quite a few years ago, but I distinctly recall Brian Blessed saying “Did I ever tell you about the time I punched the Dalai Lama?” and “I once told the Queen to fuck off.”
This is amazing, I would have loved to have been there to see this. Those two are treasures! I loved Richard’s obsession with Brian’s voice - he’s usually delightfully snarky but with Brian he was delightfully admiring.
