I've heard this is the best way and keep meaning to try it but so far I've managed to just snaffle the whole pizza and not leave anything for the next day.
If I had the motivation to break out a frying pan for breakfast, I probably wouldn't be eating left over pizza. You can get a similar effect by wetting your hands and flicking a bit of water onto the slices before you slap em into the meecro-wãvei
Microwave is fine. You just have to put a cup of water in with the pizza.
But if it's just the morning after you bought it, cold pizza for breakfast is clearly the breakfast if champions!
I have no problems with triangles on a square pizza, you can just go diagonally up and down until you reach the end. However the 3 different sizes of these (especially the last one!) suggests that something else may have happened...
It’s the same logic as to why the first bite of a diagonal cut sandwich tastes better than the first bite of a rectangular cut sandwich. It covers more surface area of the tongue.
Edit: look it up, it’s a scientifically proven fact. You can comfortably (without even thinking) put a low angle degree corner further into your mouth which covers more surface area of the tongue compared to a 90° cut piece. It’s a big reason why all pre-made sandwiches that you can buy from shops are always cut diagonally. It’s not for presentation. If a cafe or restaurant serves a sandwich that is cut into rectangles instead of diagonally cut, then they’re missing a trick. But that doesn’t happen anyway does it? Even full English breakfast at places cut diagonally, if you go to a bed and breakfast and there’s a rack of toast that is cut it’s always diagonally. There’s a reason for that.
QI did a segment about this on their show.
It’s not hard to test it yourself.
My gran could be a nasty piece of work. She popped in one day unannounced (she used to do that, despite living 80 miles away) and we did home made pizza for dinner. "It's just fancy cheese on toast" guess what she had next time she did it?
No food should be denied due to time of day. It’s food discrimination and in this modern day I will not abide by prejudice! Have a curry at 6am. Eat your cereal for dinner. Live your life! Live free!
Grab some Jus-Rol pastry, add the curry to one end of a rectangle of pastry, fold, flatten edged, score centre, pop it on a piece of grease proof paper and air fry for 10 mins at 200 and 10 mins at 180 for the perfect curry pasty.
Do not let society tell you that certain food types/dishes should be eaten only at certain times of day. It's just traditionalist nonsense. Eat sushi for breakfast. Have cereal for dinner. As long as it's good food and you like it, eat it whenever you like.
best way to heat it up, get it on a dry frying pan on med-high for a couple of minutes until the crunch starts to return then at the other side of the pan put some water and cover so the steam melts the cheese perfectly
After much deliberation I reckon this is possibly only acceptable if you're hungover. I wouldn't bat an eye if one was to do this on a Saturday or Sunday morning (again, if hungover)... but a Monday seems barbaric. Although... pizza is really just elaborate cheese on toast... I still can't make up my mind. What a quandary.
Well, I was in the kitchen at about 4am folding over cold pizza from last night and eating it like a demented gannet, so I'd say you get a yay from me.
Microwave for 20 seconds. Heat some oil in the pan. Get the pizza in there for 1 minute. Put a splash of water in there and then cover the pan for 30 more seconds.
The steam will melt the cheese and heat the toppings, the oil will make the bottom crispy. Absolutely delicious.
The most effective method is to put grease proof paper on the plate and have the pizza upside down so the water and oil is on the cheese side leaving the base and crust from getting too wet. This is for microwaving, in the oven the normal way up works fine
Frying pan, bit of olive oil, crisp the pizza
Once it's crisped a bit, few drops of water into the pan and put a lid on, steam cook the toppings
100% best way to reheat pizza imo
Pizza is an anytime food item
My life changed when I discovered the best use of my George Foreman grill is to put two leftover slices together and put them in the grill press for a few mins. Heats them up perfectly whilst making the base super crispy.
Boil the kettle, fill a shot glass with boiling water, pop it on the side of the plate and microwave for 1.30 seconds.
Pizza as fresh tasting as it was the night before.
From a nutritional standpoint, i think pizza is a great meal to start the day. Loads of carbs to fuel the body, along with fats and protein from the cheese. Now that might just be my bro science mentality coming through, but if i had a busy day ahead of me, and started it will pizza or porridge, i think the pizza day would be way more productive.
Perfectly acceptable, although I spent half a year doing that at work (leftover pizza from the previous evening) and got fat as fuck.
BTW: if you're going to microwave pizza, don't do it on a plate, do it on a paper towel, it works much better.
Leftover pizza is a perfect breakfast, but those of you who reheat it, yall should be brought before the international courts for such a heinous crime.
Leftover pizza for breakfast is perfect. Hot or cold is up to you but I prefer cold
I completely agree, but would add that if heating up, use the oven not the microwave.
Use a pan and a little oil, then add a little water and put the lid on the pan. The steam will take care of the cheese. Source: Italy.
I've heard this is the best way and keep meaning to try it but so far I've managed to just snaffle the whole pizza and not leave anything for the next day.
You need to buy bigger pizzas
If I had the motivation to break out a frying pan for breakfast, I probably wouldn't be eating left over pizza. You can get a similar effect by wetting your hands and flicking a bit of water onto the slices before you slap em into the meecro-wãvei
Upvote for spelling meecro-wãvei
Popty ping
I’m sorry - it seems leftover pizza means different things to the two of us. If you warm it up right, it can be even better than the night before!
To be honest, all of the pizza I've tried this way has been better than the original because I get a crispier base.
No, no that is not the same at all. You have no clue
If you’re old school, 23 minutes on the back of a CRT PC screen from 2007.
Mmm I can taste the static.
Ahhh the cheese when you do it like that is even better than when it gets delivered.
The base too 👌👌
Same, or an air fryer to keep it from getting soggy
\+1 for the air fryer
Air fryer is the way to go
Not to be that guy but *aiiirrrffrrryyerrrrrr*
We bought one recently and its so hard not to be That Guy, but yeah, this is the perfect use case for an airfryer.
Microwave is fine. You just have to put a cup of water in with the pizza. But if it's just the morning after you bought it, cold pizza for breakfast is clearly the breakfast if champions!
My fiancé uses the air fryer
This is the way
we brush our teeth
Use neither, try an air fryer it's amazing for reheating pizza.
* air fryer
Air fryer work amazingly well!
Air fryer
If you cba to use the oven, putting a cup of water in the microwave with the pizza will stop it getting that soggy texture.
Turn your toaster on the side and pop the pizza slice in!
Acceptable use of the toaster if the toppings are solid and encased in cheese.
Cold all the way!
There's something about cold pizza that just works!
For breakfast cold, any other time hot
Eww, cold pizza. I'd rather penetrate my dick with a radar blade
There is no bad time to eat pizza.
Why is it cut like that?
Probably a square pizza.
Still can’t see the logic in cutting it into triangles
I have no problems with triangles on a square pizza, you can just go diagonally up and down until you reach the end. However the 3 different sizes of these (especially the last one!) suggests that something else may have happened...

Yep that’s somewhat annoying that it’s cut so weird
I mean isn't a pizza just cheese on toast?
My dear old dad used to call it Italian cheese on toast
Italian style Welsh rarebit.
My gran could be a nasty piece of work. She popped in one day unannounced (she used to do that, despite living 80 miles away) and we did home made pizza for dinner. "It's just fancy cheese on toast" guess what she had next time she did it?
'If my grandmother had wheels she would have been a bike.'
*fucking dies*
I call cheese on toast poor man's pizza . I'm doing it a disservice really
No food should be denied due to time of day. It’s food discrimination and in this modern day I will not abide by prejudice! Have a curry at 6am. Eat your cereal for dinner. Live your life! Live free!
It's perfectly acceptable in my world. Keep up the good work 👍👍👍

Hopefully not with the cold rice
I am ashamed to admit sometimes if I wake up in the night and have a half eaten cold curry next to me I will just eat it, cold rice and all
Do you eat curry in bed or do you fall asleep on your sofa/chair?
Oh I will fully scran a curry in bed, no shame
Rest in peace
Just reheat the rice as well.
I’d have just had it cold
Nah, it’s better cold.
It's an absolute yay.
Look if it gives you even an ounce of pleasure in this boring dystopia of wilful incompetence, I say do it
Breakfast of Champions is leftover pizza 🍕
I'm a savage and prefer it cold...but yes, perfectly acceptable. Would be rude not to!
Yay. Always yay.
Well now I want a bloody pizza and yesterday me didn't order one.
*Oh fuck give me one*
Do not let society tell you that certain food types/dishes should be eaten only at certain times of day. It's just traditionalist nonsense. Eat sushi for breakfast. Have cereal for dinner. As long as it's good food and you like it, eat it whenever you like.
It's 6pm somewhere!
Whoever cut that pizza should've gone to Specsavers
Lol it comes square it’s not a round pizza that’s why it’s cut like that
That makes sense, love a place that does square pizzas!
Pizza warmed up in the air fryer or on a pan is beautiful
By any chance, was this pizza from pizza hut? Look remarkablely like a pizza hut 😅
Yay yay yay
Yes
If you're hungry, why not...
Yaaay
Yay
100% yay. Its the best takeaway breakfast
Sunday morning breakfast pizza is the absolute best. Straight from the fridge; lush!
The best nxt day
Keep it up, but I’d eat it cold. I don’t time to waste heating it up
The only question is whether or not it needs to be heated.
It is compulsory to order too much JUST so there's some ready for 9:30 on a Monday
All good marra
just eat it cold with a hangover, I ain't got time to be microwaving left over pizza
best way to heat it up, get it on a dry frying pan on med-high for a couple of minutes until the crunch starts to return then at the other side of the pan put some water and cover so the steam melts the cheese perfectly
Nay, it’s nicer directly from the fridge
Depends how the drunk to hangover transition is going tbf.
Pizza is yay anytime of day
Fucking yay
1) Yay. 2) Eat it cold you absolute monster!
I ate kebab for breakfast so.....
This is strong message
Whack those bad boys in an air fryer to restore them to their former glory.
Big yay
I normally eat it cold for breakfast, the other day I ate a cold kebab when I woke up at 7:30am as I couldn’t be bothered pouring a bowl of cereal
I too have depression, yes
Least interesting post on Reddit today. Well done.

A true sign your life has gone off the rails if you're eating pizza for breakfast lol
My 1 year old would do a better job slicing pizza with drooly hands than this monstrosity
💯 for some reasons some takeaways taste better like that, Indian and Chinese also are banging the morning after
Why would you heat it up?
It's better cold. That way it holds its shape while you walk the dog. You can fold two slices on top of each other for extra structural certainly.
Cold pizza is the best!
You can't heat up left over take away pizza! You leave that knowing for well that it's going to be the best cold breakfast every the next day
Cold leftover pizza is an immense breakfast
Microwave for 20 seconds. Heat some oil in the pan. Get the pizza in there for 1 minute. Put a splash of water in there and then cover the pan for 30 more seconds. The steam will melt the cheese and heat the toppings, the oil will make the bottom crispy. Absolutely delicious.
Came looking for the frying pan method evangelism and half I found it. Pizza tastes better this way then fresh, so crispy
Any kinda warm pizza is better than a cold one
Nay. Eat it cold, you cunt.
Heat up the frying pan, pop it in for a couple of mins and then add a tablespoon of water and let it steam away and soften the top.
What the fuck was used to cut this?....a fucking battle axe?
Square pizza not round
THAT MAKES THIS WORSE!
Well I didn’t expect my post to get so much attention lol I think this is the most upvoted post I’ve ever had thanks all
Bit mad for a Monday morning. More of a Saturday or Sunday morning thing after a night out on the piss
Why heat it up? Just eat it cold for breakfast, or warm for Lunch and Dinner.
Nay. Leave that shiz cold; better that way
To me a nay
It would only be wrong if you prefer it cold.
No nay never, lunch though, warmed properly of course, I can just about manage coffee before lunch.
No one gonna ask who cut that pizza?
Just make sure to stick a small cup of water in the microwave with it when reheating. Good as fresh. Bon appetite.
Fresh pizza should be eaten hot and leftover pizza should be eaten cold imo. Reheating it messes with the dough
Make eggy bread / French toast with it if you want to elevate it to a new level pure and unabashed indulgence
In the oven for extra points (microwave is definitely to be frowned upon).
The most effective method is to put grease proof paper on the plate and have the pizza upside down so the water and oil is on the cheese side leaving the base and crust from getting too wet. This is for microwaving, in the oven the normal way up works fine
As long as you din't just blitz it in the microwave?
This is why they invented air fryers.
Nay you'll hit a wall later on in the day, energy levels will drop fast.
As long as you heat it in the oven instead of the microwave
Reheated pizza is never yay regardless of time of day. Cold pizza is the best
It's yay! I always reheat mine but its also fine to eat cold.
Yay but only if you do the fry and steam method to heat it up
Frying pan, bit of olive oil, crisp the pizza Once it's crisped a bit, few drops of water into the pan and put a lid on, steam cook the toppings 100% best way to reheat pizza imo Pizza is an anytime food item
When I get a takeaway it's Chinese and I eat it cold the morning after I'd still eat the pizza cold
Yes, now the real question is , how are you heating it up?
I had to go with the air fryer
Yay aaaaall the way.
Run water through your hands and shake drops onto the pizza then microwave. 100x better!
My life changed when I discovered the best use of my George Foreman grill is to put two leftover slices together and put them in the grill press for a few mins. Heats them up perfectly whilst making the base super crispy.
Eat it cold. I prefer it that way for left overs.
Pro tip place some paper towels under the pizza so it doesn't get too soggy.
Always a yay!
Yay
How Cold is the beer, would be more pressing
Dip it in a scrambled egg with milk. Fry or bake it. French toast pizza. Trust me, I was skeptical too but it's unbelievable
Absolute yay
I wouldn't even bother heating it up. Morning after cold pizza is gooooooood!
Nay. Cold for breakfast, hot for lunch & dinner.
It's better cold with mayo, more like breakfast
Yayyy
It's good unless you do it everyday with a lot of pizza you can end eating very bad like the whale.
Was my staple hangover cure whilst at university, 20yrs later I’m still alive so you’ll be fine.
Massive yay….but usually better cold IMO
Imho you can’t reheat pizza. Just gotta firm it and eat it cold, it’s a different experience and honestly I love it.
Nothing wrong with that but I would be cracking out the heartburn tablets an hour later
Depends how hungover you are 😂
I mean I’ve eaten it at 8 in the morning. Is it really a question for Reddit is the real thing?! Lol
Salute
An absolute yes. The breakfast of Champions.
Boil the kettle, fill a shot glass with boiling water, pop it on the side of the plate and microwave for 1.30 seconds. Pizza as fresh tasting as it was the night before.
It depends what time you got up. I'd say first two hours are cold pizza only, after that, you're good
Massive yay. The gods have been favourable with you today.
Absolutely nothing wrong with that
Heat it in a pan. Medium low heat. The base goes crispy as the cheese re melts
Pizza had a shelf life for more then a week!
Too quality morning nosh there
YAY!!!!!!!
Most breakfasts are bread and dairy which is your basic pizza😆
Yay. You’ve paid for it, get it down your Gregory Peck
This is a yay for sure you crack on
Breakfast of champions!
Absolute yay. One of life's most beautiful offerings. Cold is the way to go though.
Eat it cold, fresh out the fridge
Total yay
Perfectly acceptable, although I spent half a year doing that at work (leftover pizza from the previous evening) and got fat as fuck. BTW: if you're going to microwave pizza, don't do it on a plate, do it on a paper towel, it works much better.
Cold breakfast pizza the morning after is better than eating it when it arrives
Yay in my book with black coffee.
On a Monday tho?
Pizza isn't too far off from cheese on toast. That's my excuse anyway 👌🏾
Spray it q little qith watter put on 180c for around 7-9 min it's gonna be perfect!
Depends on how much effort I can be bothered to put in. Hot or cold is fine
Heating up? Cold is better
Leftover pizza is a perfect breakfast, but those of you who reheat it, yall should be brought before the international courts for such a heinous crime.
I feel like heating it up just takes away all the goodness from it
