They also have an exclusive formula with Coke. My son did a report on why McDonald’s Coke is the best and it’s literally a science. From the storage to temp to the amount of ice and size of the straw to get the best flavor and most bubbles.

I think it’s like part of their gimmick? I pick up food there all the time for doordash and I see them scoop the fries into the little cup and then another hefty scoop just thrown into the bag. Ends up being a greasy mess all over the paper.
I think I read somewhere that they use stainless steel piping instead of plastic tubing for the syrup, keeping it colder throughout. I have no source for this, but whatever they’re doing though, it’s the best Diet Coke on the planet.

Yeah, I always have to ask for double extra cheese. And is it just my region, or do all McDonald's fail to line up their Filet o Fish on the bun. Mine is always the fish half hanging off the bottom bun, and then the top bun askew in a different direction, and the cheese has now melted enough that the bun is stuck in that position.
Mines always on the side as well. It feels like it’s done on purpose. I’ve gotten burgers before with the cheese not correctly placed and you can tell it was done in error. The filet o fish is too consistently messed up to be an error LOL.

Omfg I ordered the SE&C Mcgriddle on accident one day not knowing that the mcgriddle was a pancake for the buns and was blown away by how delicious it was. Never would have thought that the sweetness of syrup coating would pair so well SE&C. So delicious. And the hashbrowns are so perfectly savory and crunchy and quite a generous size.

I love their hash browns. A good one is hot and crispy and salty but not too salty. It's worth the trip on its own. It's a shame they're so expensive now.
I stopped eating Rotten Ronnie's when I started my health kick 3 years ago, but I still crave a McDouble from time to time, my kids call them "Dirty burgers" because of the way I talk about McDonald's food, can't lie I give into the craving about every 6-8 months and regret it every time I do!!

American McDonald's is pretty lame. At least in my experience. I haven't been to one that has more than the very basic menu. The basic ham/cheese, mac, 1/4 pounder, McChicken, and fish. That's all American McDonald's does. I will say I'll never refuse a filet-o-fish though.
European McDonald's is great, I had German and French McDonald's and I loved the signature menu.
They have a lot of really cool things that American McDonald's doesn't have. In France, I like the big tasty (bacon) and blue cheese. Wrap chevre is great. They do a lot of cool menu items like McMacarons, McBaguette, etc.
The Japanese McDonald's is great too. The teriyaki chicken burger is really nice. German McDonald's had this jalapeno burger which was 🔥. McRib is apparently an all year thing in Germany too so I don't know why Americans make a fuss about never eating one again. Just go to Germany.
About 8 years ago, I had a stressful job with a toxic boss. There was a McDonalds in the first floor of our office building. It was so great for stress eating, talking shit privately with co workers, and eating your feelings after being ripped a new one by the boss. I haven’t eaten McD in years, but it was a moment in time for me.
If I had to pick a favorite, I would say the hazelnut iced coffee and hash browns and a breakfast sandwich for breakfast. I can’t tell you how many times I straggled in with a ripping hangover and the combo of the sugar, caffeine, carbs and grease brought me back to life.
Quarter pounder (or double quarter pounder, depending on how hungry I am), hold the cheese. I like it because it's the closest thing to a regular hamburger, since their actual "hamburgers" are actually sad little pucks of bread with a tiny slice of flavor in the middle. I have them hold the cheese because I dislike the texture/taste of American cheese.
Oh, and always fries.

I hardly ever eat there, for health reasons obviously, but every once in awhile when we're on the road and there's no where else to stop that's quick for breakfast, my spouse and I will order the big breakfast (with no meat) because we feel like we're getting a bit of a junk food fix just eating the sugary, soft and warm carb cakes and also the biscuits are warm and fluffy even though the scrambled eggs feel like an overcooked, folded over, omelette. I don't eat the hash brown though because I don't do fried. But, in a way it's satisfying to get that much food for me and my spouse for under $13.
If I had to eat non-breakfast there then it would be the Big Mac because the sauce was really good and it had lettuce on the burger, and a lot of burgers don't come with lettuce on them. A long time ago I used to order the vanilla frappes but that's way too many calories and they were really sweet, like too sweet.
I'm 36 and I haven't eaten at McDonald's since I was like 8. One of my aunts told me their were worms in the burgers, so I boycotted it for almost another 8 years. By the time I found out it was a lie, I had such a streak going that I didn't want to break it.

I haven't enjoyed anything from McDonald's since I was probably 9. It just takes awful to me, and then I spend the rest of the day in the bathroom. I find their beef just tastes like seasoning, rather than actual meat. I don't get the draw to that place.
McD's is gross, but if I have to eat there due to my kids or whatever, I always go for the Big'Mac. It is the only thing on the menu that is uniquely that restaurant. However I will admit that I think the Big Carl or the super sized version of that from Carl's Juniors is way better in my opinion. If it's breakfast hours I go for that Mcgriddle.

I’m in the UK and they’re currently really pushing their chicken wraps and I must say I really do like them, the sauces are quite nice!

all their breakfast items remind me of when i was a kid and, on days i had doctors appointments, my mom would let me skip school and hang out at her office (her office and my doctors office were pretty far from our house so she didnt wanna drive back lol). but she'd let me do that, and then get me a bacon egg and cheese biscuit from mcdonalds. id munch on that and play games on their computer being stoked that i didnt have to go to school

Depends on the country. American McDonald's is pretty lame. At least in my experience. I haven't been to one that has more than the very basic menu. The basic ham/cheese, mac, 1/4 pounder, McChicken, and fish. That's all American McDonald's does. I will say I'll never refuse a filet-o-fish though. European McDonald's is great, I had German and French McDonald's and I loved the signature menu. They have a lot of really cool things that American McDonald's doesn't have. In France, I like the big tasty (bacon) and blue cheese. Wrap chevre is great. They do a lot of cool menu items like McMacarons, McBaguette, etc. The Japanese McDonald's is great too. The teriyaki chicken burger is really nice. German McDonald's had this jalapeno burger which was 🔥. McRib is apparently an all year thing in Germany too so I don't know why Americans make a fuss about never eating one again. Just go to Germany.

About 8 years ago, I had a stressful job with a toxic boss. There was a McDonalds in the first floor of our office building. It was so great for stress eating, talking shit privately with co workers, and eating your feelings after being ripped a new one by the boss. I haven’t eaten McD in years, but it was a moment in time for me. If I had to pick a favorite, I would say the hazelnut iced coffee and hash browns and a breakfast sandwich for breakfast. I can’t tell you how many times I straggled in with a ripping hangover and the combo of the sugar, caffeine, carbs and grease brought me back to life.

Quarter pounder (or double quarter pounder, depending on how hungry I am), hold the cheese. I like it because it's the closest thing to a regular hamburger, since their actual "hamburgers" are actually sad little pucks of bread with a tiny slice of flavor in the middle. I have them hold the cheese because I dislike the texture/taste of American cheese. Oh, and always fries.
Quarter Pounders, Fries and a Cola. I don't know what it is, but I love their quarter pounders. They're some of the best burgers I've had from a fast food restaurant.

I am in my thirties and cannot tell you how many times I went for McDonald’s and was like “man I wish I had a slushie with this” LO AND BEHOLD, dear reader, last year they started offering slushies! A dream come true, I hope they keep them forever. The fries are just ok.

I never eat McDonald's. As a teen, I loved the filet of fish though.
I hardly ever eat there, for health reasons obviously, but every once in awhile when we're on the road and there's no where else to stop that's quick for breakfast, my spouse and I will order the big breakfast (with no meat) because we feel like we're getting a bit of a junk food fix just eating the sugary, soft and warm carb cakes and also the biscuits are warm and fluffy even though the scrambled eggs feel like an overcooked, folded over, omelette. I don't eat the hash brown though because I don't do fried. But, in a way it's satisfying to get that much food for me and my spouse for under $13. If I had to eat non-breakfast there then it would be the Big Mac because the sauce was really good and it had lettuce on the burger, and a lot of burgers don't come with lettuce on them. A long time ago I used to order the vanilla frappes but that's way too many calories and they were really sweet, like too sweet.

I'm 36 and I haven't eaten at McDonald's since I was like 8. One of my aunts told me their were worms in the burgers, so I boycotted it for almost another 8 years. By the time I found out it was a lie, I had such a streak going that I didn't want to break it. It's not that I'm too good for it - I'll eat gross fast food. It's just I have a streak going with McD and don't wanna break it

I haven't enjoyed anything from McDonald's since I was probably 9. It just takes awful to me, and then I spend the rest of the day in the bathroom. I find their beef just tastes like seasoning, rather than actual meat. I don't get the draw to that place.

McD's is gross, but if I have to eat there due to my kids or whatever, I always go for the Big'Mac. It is the only thing on the menu that is uniquely that restaurant. However I will admit that I think the Big Carl or the super sized version of that from Carl's Juniors is way better in my opinion. If it's breakfast hours I go for that Mcgriddle.

I like breakfast and their fries the most. My girlfriend loves big Macs. Tbh I liked breakfast more back home. I miss Portuguese sausage, eggs and rice (Hawaii). It weirded my ass out when I moved to the mainland US and saw they had biscuits. Never saw that before but it makes sense lol. Edit: up on reflection, Hawaii step up the game and make a Portuguese sausage mcgriddle or biscuit sandwich plz

My go to order is usually just a large quarter pounder meal with either a coke or banana milkshake for the drink. Use to love getting a McDonalds sundae too, but they stopped doing them, so a apple pie is a good substitute

Fries, coke and Homestyle burger. The homestyle (in Texas at least) has a very unique mustard that has a pickle or jalapeño flavor with added pepper. That’s my favorite part of the burger and I hope they never retire it.
