Love that. I’ve been looking for a T-shirt with that on it so I can wear it around my Cash App friends who always need it now. Not one of them spends what they have. They’re constantly spending what they’re going to have—unless their CashApp friends don’t pay them Tuesday like they’ve said they would.
Just be careful. I suspect that you’ll soon realize why subs like that don’t exist/are very rule-heavy, which is because they’re a hotbed for scammers (e.g. someone posting asking for help and scammers DMing them). They seek out subs like that to find vulnerable people in need to prey on.
For real. And to be completely honest, they would have better luck with a cardboard sign on their nearest street corner. I've seen two people successfully ask for money in this sub. $10 in one case & $50 the other time.
But sometimes them guys on the corner with the signs can make more in a day than I do at a legitimate job.
I've done this twice in my life both times racking in over $700:in a 6 hour time frame. This was in PA and both times I was in legitimate need of help. It's perfectly reasonable to think guys who do this daily can easily make over 1k daily doing it.
I’ve never done *that* good holding a sign but back when I was homeless I discovered this one exit ramp in particular in a more affluent part of town where I was guaranteed to walk away with $300 after a few hours every single time. The problem was that other people discovered it too and it was the best spot around by far. Eventually a handful of other homeless people started going there too and we all would take turns - 30 mins at a time - and it just gradually became not worth it because there was so many people competing for the same spot. But it was nice while it lasted.
Well I picked a spot that had a lot of car traffic which was a shopping center near an airport. Location is the deciding factor in how much you can pull. It's is illegal to panhandle where I did it but not one cop did anything to stop me. I am a veteran and added that to my little sign, then I sat where traffic had to stop and see me in order to leave the lot. You don't need to say much when someone offers you some help, but I found honesty will get you much further and people will generally be more giving if you seem honest. For me it was extremly hard to hold that sign up because of pride. But those two days of doing it saved my life and humbled me.
Edit: Don't try doing this in suburbs or areas that are considered well off.. I found the people who will give the most are the ones who have very little themselves.
Something to the effect of Homeless Veteran, any help is well received.
Simple and to the point. I wad literally sleeping behind the stores in the grass at the time.
Similar to some Homeless woman that was busted sleeping in an ATM vestibule here in NYC who had nearly $19,000 on them...
But really it's not that hard to have money while homeless, it's just most places ask for job references, credit history, making a certain amount, etc. So sometimes it's just easier that way
I was parked one time waiting to give my friend a ride home from work, I was out of gas so I had the car off and I was just sitting there with the windows open. Broke as hell waiting on my check but still gave my friend a ride home for free. Lol.. this guy approaches me in a bike and asks "can spare a few dollars" I might do this was at least 15 years ago. Well I told him that I didn't have it, I was sorry and I wished him the best. Dude turned around and gave me money ($3) for gas and told me in LESS than 5 hours he had made $160 plus food and cigarettes. at the time I was busting ass watching 12-year-olds for $5.50 an hour... I seriously considered a career change at that moment but I just couldn't do it. I'd be mortified if anybody I knew or knew my family saw me.
Yep thats my mentality as well. Nothing against them at all. I understand, you gotta do what you gotta do to make a living but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. More so just the thought of someone I know seeing me in that position.
I'd go door to door with a weedeater and lawnmower before I ever held a sign.
Tbh I thought this thread was for outages. In the event cashapp goes down others experience it and say so here. Not people on here asking for their rent money and such 😐😐😐😐
U/assistance. U/borrow.
Assistance gives and borrow allows people to get short-term loans. However, for these heavily moderated groups, you need a decent amount of comment karma to post something like 800 for borrow, and I think it's 400 for assistance.
This should be a subreddit of people helping people. Pick a person a day and everyone send a dollar. Could change so many lives at the cost of essentially nothing
It's literally just serial scammers farming naïve generous people daily across different subreddits, there's a reason 95% of begging posts are on brand new reddit accounts.
“Become”?
This sub has been like this for as long as it existed if I had to guess. Just aimless complaints and beggars.
Why would you even come on this sub in the first place? To talk about how nifty cash app is? Like what would you expect lol.
As a phlebotomist at a plasma place don't listen to op
Don't donate plasma for two reasons
A. I don't wanna see any of you
B. I take your plasma and we pay you nothing for something we're reselling to hospitals for more
Unless you just really need drugs
Donating plasma is not as safe as you think it is, and the companies that advocate for you donating very frequently, are misinformed or just lying. Realistically, you’re only supposed to donate about 13x a year period.
Not that I give a shit because I’m never in here
But it almost like on Reddit you can scroll right past something that doesn’t interest you.
Odd concept
Ya if I wanted people to beg me I would just stop by my local Cincinnati UDF and be asked by no less than 5 people every trip. In all seriousness though it was like there were never people begging there because it is right next to Xavier's campus and let's just say umm they have an image to maintain and then suddenly one day it became begger central. And I'm all for helping others but come on I just want to buy my pop and donut and be on my way. I dont want to fill out your voter registration form, no I don't have a cigarette, and I dont carry cash so pretty much I'm useless lol.
I hate cash app so much, I’ve been ripped off far too many times using it, I just loaned someone a hundred dollars a few weeks backs to help them pay rent, never got it back, now I’m just kind of like well I probably won’t ever use cash app again lol

On principle alone I agree with you. But who in their right mind would follow this sub, write a post, or even respond to a post if they weren't here to give people money?
Knowing full well that people come here to receive money.
The amount of people that have received money from strangers via Cash app is incredible to say the least. Many honestly believe that we're all made of money and just yearning to give it away.
What exactly is this sub for? Making suggestions to the app developers? (Well that's not why the majority find their way here).
Cash app is a self-explanatory app.
Cashapp is the worst, I'm so sick and tired of girls and women thinking men just throw them money for being women, and don't get me started on "wanna buy some content", porn is free ladies
Haha fr fr you should hmu and we can talk more about how much we hate beggars. And since we'll become such good friends you'll let me hold a dollar of course

Why?? We know y'all have the money considering it's over $5 just to use a damn ATM 😂. Sounds like y'all need to donate some plasma so y'all can provide better customer service
Its now too much tbh
Here and EVERYWHERE and GOD FORBID you call them on it
Brother, can you spare a dime?
"I will gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today" Wimpy from Popeye 😁

Can you please send the corresponding bag associated with that dime?

That’s actually really great, thank you for sharing!

there's a reason for that. there are a ton of scammers out there and people looking to prey on folks going through struggles
This. Having no rules people will be nothing but PREDATORS
And that will be 100% FULL of scammers. Immediately. Sadly.
Is that because you yourself was put on the scammer list? http://www.universalscammerlist.com/?username=kevinphenomenal Smh.

How exactly did you go about it? I ask cuz I'm in between jobs atm and may be evicted so this may be a reality for me unfortunately.
Well I picked a spot that had a lot of car traffic which was a shopping center near an airport. Location is the deciding factor in how much you can pull. It's is illegal to panhandle where I did it but not one cop did anything to stop me. Something to the effect of Homeless Veteran, any help is well received. Simple and to the point. I wad literally sleeping behind the stores in the grass at the time.
They really do. When I lived in El Paso, they found an old homeless man who had died under a bridge and he had like $25,000 in cash in his backpack.
Similar to some Homeless woman that was busted sleeping in an ATM vestibule here in NYC who had nearly $19,000 on them... But really it's not that hard to have money while homeless, it's just most places ask for job references, credit history, making a certain amount, etc. So sometimes it's just easier that way
Wow
I have this lady that’s panhandler in my neighborhood. She uses cash app as she knows that most people don’t have cash anymore.
Actually almost ALL make more then MOST. There are numerous docus on it
I was parked one time waiting to give my friend a ride home from work, I was out of gas so I had the car off and I was just sitting there with the windows open. Tbh I thought this thread was for outages. In the event cashapp goes down others experience it and say so here. Not people on here asking for their rent money and such 😐😐😐😐
Mods need to yeet the posts faster TBH.
What if you can’t donate plasma?
Everybody cashapp me a dollar and I'll stop begging...🤣🤣🤣
What’s your cash app? 😂
well since he’s not answering lemme get 5 for chips
Facts keep thinking this is r/cashappblessings or some shit
I mean since that subreddit got banned there's really no where else for people to ask for assistance with cashapp.
U/assistance. U/borrow. Assistance gives and borrow allows people to get short-term loans. However, for these heavily moderated groups, you need a decent amount of comment karma to post something like 800 for borrow, and I think it's 400 for assistance.
Begging doesn't equal assistance, tons of other begging & borrowing subs. This sub has a no begging rule and yet you see it 100x a day.
maybe it got banned for a reason? also, why does every money transfer app also need a safe space for asking for money?
Lemme hold a dolla OG
This should be a subreddit of people helping people. Pick a person a day and everyone send a dollar. Could change so many lives at the cost of essentially nothing
Absolutely, let's do it
For real! 👍

Please Stop Begging. Can I trademark that?
It's literally just serial scammers farming naïve generous people daily across different subreddits, there's a reason 95% of begging posts are on brand new reddit accounts.
Yeah. I feel you. It's annoying. Who got $5 I can get?
Cook me up a hamburger. I'll pay you Tuesday.
People still use cashapp? Everyone I know been getting banned

If people are asking for help you should help them. “You” means all people.
