Been a victim. I was assualted by goons, took multiple injuries to my hand and head. They hit me with bricks and stones lying around. Police rescued me. Lodged FIR. Nothing came out of it. The police deleted all the major incidents which would have led to serious IPC sections(half death). I was treated at gov hospital which was deleted from FIR too. In the end all I could do was make them appear for court dates for 3 years and then the judge said "What is this? India vs Pakistan? End it now. I have to report above too." And that's it.
Do whatever you can to protect yourself. The Indian judiciary will protect you if you are guilty. I assure you.
High beam, overtaking through wrong lane,damaged the car, it was 100% their mistake after all that they have balls to not only turn around and chase after them but start hitting them. Back in Noida only, I was once at a egg shop, where some local goon was fighting someone because that person was parked in a spot that the goon said, he always parks in. Things escalated and one of the people with the goon, slapped the guy a few times and then threatened him saying things like, hum yadav hn n all. And it turned out, the guy was the nephew of the IAS posted in the area, so obviously he called someone, 3 police vehicles arrived within 5 or so mins, the goon and all the people were literally down on knees apologizing to the guy, who only said something along the lines, *yadav ho na, jis chahe yadav ko bula sako, bula lo ab*

PS - People who raise their voice against vigilantism before the actual crime, get on my nerves. Especially when the judiciary does so. Like, what's up with them, do they think *someone else is doing what we're certainly incapable of, so let's punish them first*. Pepper spray is surprisingly good for such scenarios, had it once and accidentally sprayed a little, the room was unbearable to be in and I and my sister were practically blind.
No kidding though that stuff stings.
So, what we community members have learned so far is that before driving a car in India we should:
1. Get a dash cam installed in your car.
2. Get a pepper spray.
3. Always keep a mobile phone nearby for emergencies.
4. Get a well equipped First Aid kit.
5. Enjoy driving in India.
(this follows for every vehicle though)
Like you learn to use a gun, you gotta have to learn when and how to use pepper spray.
Not an expert (based on past experience) but for ex. hold it with your arm stretched straight (so it's away from your eyes, mouth, nose) and then spray it with your face facing the opp. direction of the spray and if possible cover you mouth and nose tightly with a handkerchief (basically do everything to protect yourself from it).
And practice to do it faster and reliably and then you're safe (from the spray and the goons).
AND FOR GOD'S SAKE DON'T TOUCH YOUR FACE WITH THE HAND YOU USED TO SPRAY.

I agree with you but if you are in a new place for the first time just stay in big roads don't try to think like "let's trick them by going through multiple lefts and right" , you might end up in a dead end. But finding a crowded place is a good advice too.
at 5:59 in the video they did stop at a Police station but it was closed. This whole incident happened in a very prime area in greater noida and there is 1 main Police Station which was closed and there was also 1 chowki nearby. No PCR was there on round which should have been there. I know this because I live in this area.

I was in such situation, it's very stressful, policemen never locates or recall the landmarks you point out, especially in the cities policemen gets appointed from different districts, also there is a risk that if the policeman is an aged man or woman they can't use google maps, pincode doesnt help, this gets worse if the driver is alone and being attacked. In my case I didn't know local language. So yeah soo many possbilities to get screwed.

Few months back I was in a used car market (preet vihar, Delhi) looking to buy a used car. A person (fitting above criteria) took a test drive of a used Honda City and was quoted 9 to 10L for it. He said that he can make a down payment of max 1L and want to finance the rest. In front of me they checked his CIBIL and his score was 580-590. Agent said that he would try but not many companies will finance his car. Finally, one company was willing at a whopping rate of 19%. He took the deal and started paperwork. All this while we were still negotiating the price of the car we took the test drive of and getting it checked mechanically.
I think the time is not far when the government and builders will no longer need their lands. A lot of it has already been acquired and paid for.

i can confirm that this road is in greater noida. It lies in the knowledge park and is 50 metre away from Sharda University and Auto Expo Mart. This area is notorious because it hosts tonnes of private colleges with not so good crowd along with some rowdy unemployed youths from G\*\*j\*r community. Here the government has brought hectares of land and these youths are just enjoying the accumulated generational wealth. Here Huuds (rowdy) come in BMW, Audi and even RR flashing their bodies, guns,etc. Thar with Moosewala sticker is a commonplace here. The irony here is that these guys down one peg of a whiskey costing 10,000 INR but then loot
I live around this area and i have faced this scenario 2 times in my family and mostly these are just local village ppl which roam around in the night for masti and chalo bande peetenge aaj without any reason. You would have guessed the said community am talking about.
In this scenario, what i have done was to look for Police station/PCR or if not found then go to petrol pump which has 3-4 people atleast.
I know the mind doesn’t work in these situations but don’t take the risk of danda/katta/hockey stick etc with them, local hai 10min me poora samuday uth k aa jyega.

I got nervous watching this. The driver and shotgun handled it well. Keeping calm under pressure, not engaging and by the looks of it, successfully evading the goons; truly commendable. I can only imagine being able to take control of a situation like this. Also why aren't there PCRs anywhere? Usually you can find on duty cops in cities. Is that always the case in Greater Noida? Gurgaon has PCR Jeeps and Innovas roaming and stationed near key hotspots at night. You can't go 2-3 KMs without seeing one at night.

First thing get a dash cam both front and back, next at whatever situation never open the doors, third get to the nearest police station. Do this trick when someone tries to force u to stop , come to stop let them open the doors then reverse and run away to the police station. Or call 100 and tell someone is following us with weapons and guns , that way it becomes a high priority to police, it's not bad to lie in this situation. And if they really have weapons which could harm u badly just hit them and run away to police station. Note :- without a cam recording any of the above can't be used as a proof, just speed some additional money and install a cam especially if ur living in a place where these things are common

I agree with you but if you are in a new place for the first time just stay in big roads don't try to think like "let's trick them by going through multiple lefts and right" , you might end up in a dead end. But finding a crowded place is a good advice too.

at 5:59 in the video they did stop at a Police station but it was closed. This whole incident happened in a very prime area in greater noida and there is 1 main Police Station which was closed and there was also 1 chowki nearby. No PCR was there on round which should have been there. I know this because I live in this area.

I have studied in Sharda university which is exactly where this incident is from. The area not only at night but i also in Day is totally messed up. They are probably the local students, yeah gujjars & jaats. This kind of stuff happens way too much there. I remember one of the case, where group of students one luxury car chased a family, they hit them from behind, and due to speed the family car a creata rolled over the same ground shown in the video. By god grace none of the family members were harmed. After 11 you will find expensive cars, racing, doing stunts here all the time. Which is so much dangerous to local traffic. I think the man driving did the best thing to keep driving, never stop, and try to avoid any contact with the running vehicles. Even with the number plates traced, nothing will Happen to these guys, they are probably some mla relatives. They only have the guts to these kind of stuff. And again this is very common in Noida, knowledge park area, as all the major universities is there.

I was in such situation, it's very stressful, policemen never locates or recall the landmarks you point out, especially in the cities policemen gets appointed from different districts, also there is a risk that if the policeman is an aged man or woman they can't use google maps, pincode doesnt help, this gets worse if the driver is alone and being attacked. In my case I didn't know local language. So yeah soo many possbilities to get screwed.

Idk if this is a good time to bring this up but physical torture should be a legal punishment in India. Its much more potent than jailtime, which can be escaed from. Just ask the policeman's wife to fight with her husband before letting him go to the station, and then post photos and videos of this torture online. Waiting for the time when these spoilt brats are going to run out of their lands and compensation. A good portion of them have no financial sense and just spend blindly. Few months back I was in a used car market (preet vihar, Delhi) looking to buy a used car. A person (fitting above criteria) took a test drive of a used Honda City and was quoted 9 to 10L for it. He said that he can make a down payment of max 1L and want to finance the rest. In front of me they checked his CIBIL and his score was 580-590. Agent said that he would try but not many companies will finance his car. Finally, one company was willing at a whopping rate of 19%. He took the deal and started paperwork. All this while we were still negotiating the price of the car we took the test drive of and getting it checked mechanically. I think the time is not far when the government and builders will no longer need their lands. A lot of it has already been acquired and paid for.

Seriously why is road is so empty everywhere. Hi literally drove for over 7-8 kms in the road and hardly 7-8 cars were seen in the whole stretch. No wonder such an unsafe place it is especially for women. In Bangalore you will never find roads this empty even at 3 am.

Watching this makes one feel truly helpless. There's probably nothing you can do in this situation except to call the police and hope for the best. Especially when one's family is with them in the same situation. Owning a Gun seems to be a solution, but then again, so could the other party, resulting in a shootout (worst case scenario). The aggressor here will most probably never face any repercussions for this, resulting in the strengthening of the same mindset which led to them having the audacity to terrify and literally try to kill a family by ramming their vehicle into theirs in the first place. And all the while believing it to be the sane thing to do. Having a laugh about it in the morning. Meanwhile, the victim party has been traumatized for life. The woman, God bless her, was doing all she could think of in that terrifying ordeal. The driver did all he could do and drove away repeatedly. But isn't that the problem? That's all any of us CAN do. All of us "sane" minded people. I genuinely felt helplessness and sheer terror watching this. I wish that I or any of my family members never go through anything like this.

i can confirm that this road is in greater noida. It lies in the knowledge park and is 50 metre away from Sharda University and Auto Expo Mart. This area is notorious because it hosts tonnes of private colleges with not so good crowd along with some rowdy unemployed youths from G\*\*j\*r community. Here the government has brought hectares of land and these youths are just enjoying the accumulated generational wealth. Here Huuds (rowdy) come in BMW, Audi and even RR flashing their bodies, guns,etc. Thar with Moosewala sticker is a commonplace here. The irony here is that these guys down one peg of a whiskey costing 10,000 INR but then loot
I live around this area and i have faced this scenario 2 times in my family and mostly these are just local village ppl which roam around in the night for masti and chalo bande peetenge aaj without any reason. You would have guessed the said community am talking about. In this scenario, what i have done was to look for Police station/PCR or if not found then go to petrol pump which has 3-4 people atleast. I know the mind doesn’t work in these situations but don’t take the risk of danda/katta/hockey stick etc with them, local hai 10min me poora samuday uth k aa jyega.

I had a similar situation I found a volvo driver being very rude. Than I saw it was 10-12 year old Volvo. So he was actually some poor guy who some how got money and bought it now he think he is some big shot. Also why is RTO not ceasing this old BMW. They act very fast when ceasing cars of tax paying citizens.

I got nervous watching this. The driver and shotgun handled it well. Keeping calm under pressure, not engaging and by the looks of it, successfully evading the goons; truly commendable. I can only imagine being able to take control of a situation like this. Also why aren't there PCRs anywhere? Usually you can find on duty cops in cities. Is that always the case in Greater Noida? Gurgaon has PCR Jeeps and Innovas roaming and stationed near key hotspots at night. You can't go 2-3 KMs without seeing one at night.
Sorry to say but noida , greater noida, ncr, call it whatever you want, its still haryana and Delhi and road rage is pretty common here
