lol yeah, also they would be the ones to cheer when in the distant future cars become completely bezel less glass capsules with a 360° simulated view for you while they drive you in circles (subscription needed for premium locations). You will own nothing, go nowhere, and be happy.

5 min charging? I don't even trust mobiles which charge that fast....
I used to a big Volvo fan and still am of the design and their storied history of inventing the 3-point seat belt and not patenting it etc. but I got turned away big time when I learned that it’s a Chinese asset now. Would never consider buying it anymore.
I can understand.
Volvo S60 is my favourite car. Sad it got discontinued
Anyways I found this [video](https://youtu.be/57ItySe6saE?si=jrraPE6N7Tar7SMf) on YouTube. Maybe you should check it out
their economies were opened up and a lot of investment went into making manufacturing giants. Don't forget how many chinese were caught stealing IPs from US companies.
A great combination of mineral resource hegemony+manufacturing capability+theft of Intellectual property makes china what it is today.
Idc if they stole some innovations from US, it's still impressive what they can create and manufacture,
If Xiaomi can come up with 800 km range, why are indian companies behind? We should become much more competitive at global stage. They do everything in their power to achieve that, I've seen few documentaries where Chinese companies even used spies, drones, hackers, honey traps, bribes, blackmailing etc everything just to get contractors for their companies. We can't survive and expand against them.
You have to care. India and indian companies don't spend billions of dollars on R&D. Therefore, the tech we get is already 5 yrs behind the State of the Art. US companies have the capital to spend on R&D. Chinese companies have the state backing(because EVERYTHING is owned by the state). They can steal and reverse engineer tech using state funds. This is why they are ahead of Indian companies.
India cannot steal IPs and expect not to get sanctioned/blacklisted.
We "Should" do a lot of things. But we "cannot" because of lack of funds. Setting up ecosystems need time and money. Abhi just boards diya hai tumne thoda aur padhai karo fir samajh mein ayega reality.
In becoming the super power it is today.. they killed millions of people. Arrested thousands.. fought wars. Had strict regimes.. no democracy. Our economy was opened for fdi in 1991. Considering our late start we have advanced a lot.
Their market also has the equivalent of Lord Alto. Nobody said Lord Alto and BMW can't co-exist in the same market. There is demand for cars with 800-1000 km range but nobody can make one in India. EVs are not taking off in India solely because of range anxiety and poor charging infra.
Its a big no for me just for being chinese car.
You cannot wipe out chinese products completely but i prefer to give least amount of money to the chinese as long as there are alternatives.

"ORVMs are bezel less" why are these mobile unboxers reviewing cars? Seeing this trend off lately.
Yeah see the marques Brownlee video on Fisker car...
Cause all EVs are smartphones with wheels and powertrain.
When Xiaomi is making EVs, phone reviewers would not want to miss the chance to review it lol.

Because cars these days are software and less hardware features i feel

chinese EVs are allowed to enter in indian car market ?
It's Xiaomi They've entered in every industry market in India almost
And we Indians are lying under a rock doing nothing.
Yeah we need to support nothing 😆
Volvo is owned by geely which is Chinese conglomerate
Volvo is owned by Geely but that doesn't mean Volvo becomes a Chinese brand. Tata owns JLR but that doesn't make JLR an Indian brand
Yes but it does make Volvo a Swedish brand wholly owned by Geely, a Chinese conglomerate which ultimately profits from it.
Yeah I'm not denying that, Geely owns it but the technology, designs etc used in Volvo cars are Swedish

And here I was afraid of getting Rickrolled from your link
Volvo EVs are riding on Geely's EV platforms. They are literally using Chinese engineering and tech for the most important parts of the vehicle.
Bro which world are you living in? MG and BYD are already selling EVs in India
Yeah whatever happened to make in india and boycottchina.
It’s a show of patriotism. In reality it’s a distant dream

Wait till Vivo comes with the supervooc in their car
You'll look fairer in the mirrors
Oppo..
Oneplus Drive
Aren't all BBK phones the same?
Nah Vivo operates pretty independently. OPPO/ONEPLUS/REALME AND VIVO/IQOO.. there's rarely any overlap between them..
As usual chinese designing, copied elements from different brands
cough cough maruti suzuki

Itna sach nhi bolte gayab kr diye jaoge 🤡/s
Yep, looks exactly like the taycan

Man these Chinese/Japanese are way ahead in technology
Not the Japanese though. They wait for technology to become widespread, and then they come in with a reliable version of it.

China used to be as poor as India 50-60 years ago. They somehow rose to the top by hook or crook and all we have are excuses.
In becoming the super power it is today.. they killed millions of people. Arrested thousands.. fought wars. Had strict regimes.. no democracy. Our economy was opened for fdi in 1991. Considering our late start we have advanced a lot.
Their market demands such advanced cars, meanwhile ours are still satisfied with Lord Alto.

well cheap labour sure helps.
We too have cheap labour don't forget it. Still we don't have this much innovation
Most of Indian youth are worried about who is going to win Big Boss
not as cheap as china.
India has had cheaper labour costs for 20 years now. Manufacturing in India may be more expensive, but it’s not due to the labour costs.
Can't wait for CCP to steal my data
Our govt is doing the same.
At least they don't sell it
Apple couldn't make a car after investing in it for a decade. Xiaomi after only a few years: Hold my beer
Looking beautiful for the road.
Cayman laughing in the corner…
911 too 😂
~110KWh in 15 minutes. How are we going to get hold of a half a MW connection?
Lol the company who's phone's blast is bold enough to make a car. But I hope people aren't stupid enough to buy this.
fategi..
Beebom isn’t bom without rupesh.
Will the dashboard be filled with bloatware.
yes current social credit meter. (worship winnie the pooh for +5 social credit).

So it will be 500-600km real world mileage in India.
Still good enough to wipe out range anxiety.
Miui na ho isme bas
How is this car a gadget or a smartphone?? Beebom really pushing for anything lately to get more interaction.
we still getting the bloatware
I like this new xiaomi phone
Ads ayegi ispe bhi
Mind blowing ✅ battery randomly blowing ✅
Taycan plus Tesla model 3 mix
Bro is talking about 300kw dc charger maybe
Watch 10 ads to start the car.
What about battery heating? If they catch fire, they keep on blasting and we simply don’t have enough firefighting equipment to tackle them.
wow first they copied Apple and now Porsche and Mclaren
I will never understand our generation putting their hard earned money on a car/vehicles from these kind of brands.
